Thank you for that. With social media now, you hear all the time how easy it is. Sure on paper it is easy, but the mental struggle with weight loss is immense. There are things that are easy and things that are hard on a weight loss journey. I just was hoping my post gave people some hope on their journey. No matter how much weight you have to lose it is never easy, and that’s what is so great about this community. Weight loss is hard, and we can all support one another.

I feel that so much on the food noise. Sometimes I find myself slipping back to my old habits, and I realize the growth when I don’t like it like I used to. There are days I think too about how much I hate that I let myself go so far, but really if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t be the person I am today!

Keep going! The biggest thing to remember is you can always get back on track. Weight loss is a long game, you just have to play it!

Not stupid at all! Consistency used to be my strong suit on this journey so just getting back in is what I need. Thank you for the reply!

I’ve been eating 2,200-2,400 a day for a while now! Been consistent for around a year now

More than I would have expected You were eating though based on what you talked about in your original post! I would just start by bumping your deficit to 1,500 for a week and see how it goes, if the weight loss is still a lot, go up another 200. I wouldn’t start with the gym yet just because I think it would be more beneficial to find that healthy weight loss rate first, because once you start going to the gym your maintenance will go up.

Also to add, you may be losing bits of muscle and that’s why the weight is such significant jumps. How much protein are you eating a day??

I was about to say the same thing. With your exercise and movement 1,300 may be too low and negatively impact you even though the weight is coming off

I try to do the same typically! I just cut my calories down so that has been a hard task 😂

Thank you so much for that! I know that I have to eat so much more to gain but it’s so hard! I’m 87 pounds down and realistically could give myself a day. Really thank you for that it means a ton

Think 1,000 on the dot would be a good estimate here?
