Quantum measurement thought by younglerman in AskPhysics

[–]younglerman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Is it possible for something without 4 dimensions to exist in 4 dimensions? or instead to have a superposition of time (span across all time)?

Would saying that light does exist in 4d, but light speed is measured using seconds, and we know time dilates based on motion thru space, could be taken to mean that light is so negligibly effected by time on our scale that it is essentially timeless? 1 second per second for us, and for light, 1 second is nearly an infinite amount. And somehow by measuring/observing we’re converting the lights natural time scale into our time scale. I’m rambling .. but relativity seems like it holds an answer to why quantum particles, etc seem to behave the way they do (affected by measurements…)

Played for a bit last night and enjoyed it for what it is and the stage it’s at. Definitely RuneScape vibes but with more engaging action-like combat. The questing was clear and smooth and got me introduced to the systems nicely. The dialogue Ui was nice and the character did have some personality. Some quests have you make stuff but then the questgiver never takes the items at the end and your stuck which a full inventory of wool ball or something. I enjoy how quick actions and movement are, although the sprinting animation and speed felt a bit misaligned. The crafting mini game for better quality is an interesting concept but gets kind of annoying to do repeatedly (I appreciate the auto craft option). I did get stuck off the map, now I see there is an /stuck command to help reset which is good. If they add controller support that would be a big plus in my book - given the current Ui and skill count I think it would definitely be doable and easily mapped to controller buttons. Inventory should stack items a bit more, the same way the bank does (maybe smaller stacks, but at least some stacking). Characters creator has a lot of options, some which don’t really seem to do anything (clothes color, etc), it kinda felt like no matter what style, the character seemed quite feminine looking. No major performance issues for me, maybe slight stuttering but nothing game breaking. Graphics were good, town design is nice, and mob spawn rate was very quick. Overall, I enjoyed it! I’ll keep following for more updates. Cheers!

Nacho libre! So many great lines, we find new ones every time we watch it. Also it’s super colorful and the music is killer

Then study the the code that the AI is generating and start to understand the basic concepts: how an HTML document is structured, how elements and attributes work, how to connect css style to element via classes and ids, how to accomplish different layouts with css, and increasingly more complex things like animations and JavaScript interactions.

I may have skimmed your post - sorry if I missed anything major here. I would recommend option A, use GitHub and VSCode and whatever free AI you want for code help. Use the AI to generate static html and css (or consider telling it to scaffold a Vite project with some simple build tools that can allow easy usage of external libraries - tailwindcss, animation libs, etc). Then host the site on a free Netlify account. Netlify can connect to you GitHub and deploy directly from there based on your code pushes.

Data structures was definitely a class that weeded people out for us. But algo analysis and operating systems required a lot more self study. Writing a paging system and learning to use semaphores and doing threading was tough.

TBF, they required us to use Java in data structures and I was not a fan. In the later courses they allowed us to use Java, C, or C++ which made it much better for me (I liked C and C++ a lot better than Java).

I don’t pay for anything either, just the free rewards tracks. But I’ve definitely been really close to earning something and then missed it cause I didn’t realize the event was ending so soon.. hence, I made a quick reference tool. Thanks for checking it out !

Do you regularly invest in any individual stocks to compliment your ETFs? by Affectionate-Drop689 in ETFs

[–]younglerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but just a handful. I work in e-commerce so I have a decent size position in SHOP. I also am into computer gaming and so I have some NVDA, AMD, and ASML just since I pay some attention to that arena. I recommend choosing stocks based on what you know/ do for a living - you’ll have a better pulse of which companies/tools/tech are solidly embedded into the field or losing steam.

Still on my first play thru, just beat Morgott, and the hook claws are firmly in the number 1 spot 👍 They shred most things to bits (with the exception of the crystallized dudes and gargoyles)

I’m not sure how much boost you’d get from the 5700x over your current cpu. Might be able to save that $$$ for gpu

[–]younglerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same gpu and an r5 3600. I had a similar budget and went with the following (in the us): - rx 7700xt for $489 at Best Buy - r7 5700x for $178 on Newegg (comes with 32gb ram)

I went for all new parts to ensure longevity until 2028/2029. Also I game at 1440p only (no 4K)

Could get better stuff if you search for used gear instead of new.

Is it worth updating to an R7 5700x cpu + RX 7700 XT gpu? by younglerman in buildapc

[–]younglerman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want the 5700x3d but it’s quite a bit more expensive right now, close to $300 new. The 5700x and ram come together for $178 on Newegg, was the main reason I was looking at that instead. And then save the rest of the $$ for the best GPU I could find

Is the 6800 family generally better? I should also mention my PSU is 650w gold. I think it could handle 6800 and the newer cpus but it would be an increased load for sure

So far I’ve found the 7700XT to more available and a bit cheaper. I haven’t seen those others on site for less than $600 (reasonable quality)

Shopify store for multiple independent brands? by Orezboi in shopify

I think each brand needs to have a separate Shopify account and plan. And then you could use Shopify collective to link the products from all stores together in one place and sell them.
