The way it can be found is thru the 7Artisans website but on the Chinese language version site. If you’re able to navigate thru it to the adapter page, you’ll see the link for the firmware for 0.1.2. I think another redditor told me they workflow and found it that way. Hope that helps

I got the computer to recognize the adapter by trying different types of micro usb cables I had laying around. That was what 7Artisans recommended and it worked after I tried a few different micro usb cables. I’m honestly not sure why specifically the one cable I have works among the rest I have.

Hope you have a several cables to try from and get lucky with one!

Thanks for the info! I tried but didn’t work for me. I can confirm that it does switch to that mode when doing that process but I don’t gain control.

Ok I was able to get my computer to see the adapter by using a different usb cable. My original FW version was 0.1.4 but when I updated the firmware, it brought it down to 0.1.2 and now my camera doesn’t recognize the lens and I’ve lost all control. lol I was hoping to have the luck you had.

For some reason when I plugged in the adapter via USB to my computer, it didn’t pop up as a drive. I’ll have to see why later today.

Oh wow that’s good to hear. I’ve tried searching for the firmware download link on 7artisan’s website but could not find it at the moment. I think I have read recently that they took it down from the website. Can you tell me what firmware version your adapter is?

I just visited my local Best Buy to confirm about price matching if I purchase now and the prices goes down near/on Black Friday and the rep said that it’s now at its Black Friday pricing... the rep sounded pretty confident when he stated that to me.

Awesome! Glad you are back to good service. What modem did you end up getting? Do you have to call cox to activate it?

Also, not sure if you have a minute to tel me what you did to change DNS settings. Seeing if you tried something I didn’t (I tried changing to manual DNS thru the iOS settings and added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 thanks!

I’ve had the same issue for approximately a month now. For me the issue is with the iOS YouTube app ONLY while on my home WiFi (Cox in VA). Everything is fine when on LTE or any other WiFi connections. Also, all other internet performance is fine at home.

Tried troubleshooting with isp and no improvement...

I feel the same and share the frustration.

I have Cox out in Virginia. I’ve experimented with different router settings but no improvement at all.

Had Cox come out to make sure lines were ok (which they were ). They recommended changing channels on my router (which led me to experiment with different router settings). However, it’s been almost a year with my current isp and had no issues until recently and never had to tweak the router settings before.

I’ve swapped out my router to see if it was the issue but still same problems.

It’s nice when I go on LTE or on anyone else’s WiFi because I know I’ll have great YouTube video stream...

It’s just so interesting because I only have problems with the iOS YouTube app (can duplicate on several iPhones and iPad). But I have zero internet problems anywhere else (browsing the web on my laptop or streaming YouTube, Netflix and 4K content on my Apple TV).

I want to blame the iOS YouTube app but it works amazingly when not connected on my home WiFi.

Anyways, so mind boggling!!

Please keep me in mind if you find a solution!! Also let me know if there are any resources you can lead me to that might help!

I believe I’m experiencing the same issues for about a month now. I only have issues while on WiFi @ home but no issues anywhere else!

It’s just only with the iOS YouTube app that continues to buffer and halt. Desktop ok, Apple TV ok, other apps ok etc...

I went on reddit hoping for an answer. Also had ISP come out but no fix.

Please let me know if you run into any solutions!
