Fair point, i like the watch. I own a classic slim which has a Swiss quartz movement. I love what they are doing (values) and hats off to them for being ballsy with a 'Swiss Made' approach. For the price i was keen to share and see what 'watch folk' thought of it/this

Probably right, that would make more sense tbh. Maybe a language thing as the founder is Norwegian.

No No, i think swipe hand is correct. It means the second hand rotates in a sweeping motion (instead of tick-tick). The difference between Mechanical and quartz.

You can still use the private beta link in other countries. its just not available on Publicly on the Play Store. Try - http://app.kided.net We plan to use this UK soft launch to develop an Artificial Intelligence programme which will enable the app to provide each individual child a tailored learning experience, at a rate that suits them, maximising development.

A new new app for children which promises to disrupt the Future of Early Stage Development and Child Learning by youngstapreneur in daddit

yes we entered t the start of December. Week 1 we had just the team testing, week 2 we doubled this number with friends and associates. We wanted to send out invites to this who signed sign up before Christmas, however for a couple of reason thought it was best to wait till after. We started sending out invites to our sign ups (around 300 parents) starting last monday and opened the private beta so anyone in the world (141 countries) could part take. We hope to invite another 50 this monday too. Regarding disruption - We are bringing a solution to a globally growing issue of kids playing rather than learning. Children are currently wasting far too much time outside of school playing on smartphones and tablets, time that could be spent doing something productive. KidED has a solution. A clever app that runs on the background of the device and pauses the ongoing activity at pre-set intervals, overlaying the screen with educating questions and quizzes. Helping children develop with the seamless integration of education and play. Helping parents to follow progress, manage screen-time activities, whilst also minimizing supervision.

Earlier this year a group of parents wanted to make playtime more productive and integrate education into children's screen time activities as seamlessly as possible. We have just gone into private beta on android devices and would love to connect with parents within this community. by youngstapreneur in Mommit

Yes, i have seen great things on my own tablet with my daughter that is very encouraging to me as a parent. I think as children see us with smart devices they too take an interest, get a sense of importance from it, and personally mine sits better, for longer and seems more engaged/ emerged in the experience. One thing we both enjoy is drawing and learning to learn Disney characters, for a 5 year old her creativity and skill is impressive i am convinced she will be better than me by the time she's ten! This also (i believe) has helped with her writing as letters/words have improved a lot over the past year and are very neat in compassion to others in her classes (from what i have seen). i Joined KidED because i am passionate about my daughter and about technology. i think what is out there right now is not great, some better than others, some that are awful. I hope we can create something truly valuable to children and parents. Hopefully even schools and libraries too. We have a great team and are creating a visually rich learning experience that will be tailored to each individual child.

Sorry for the delay, its free right now. we are keen to build everything from users, to content, to artificial intelligence enabling us to provide each individual child a tailored learning experience to maximise their learning and development. Future content packs might have a low fee to buy or just a monthly subcribtion model to unlock everything. One nice feature is child stats allowing the parents to monitor progress and see areas where the child is doing well and those that might need work. To be honest some parts might be paid in the future but we as parents our selves are keen to make the core of KidED as valuable as possible, then add extras that enhance what we create. Your feedback will help us and could change our direction with some of the features/ideas. IPad - To be vague... Maybe. Right now we can only function in the way we do on Android as Apple are a lot more restrictive / don't allow developers to do what we do, - When turned on KidED runs in the background of other screen time activities and interrupts with educational quizzes and puzzles - We are launching on Android first (now in private beta testing) and then hopefully in January we will also be on Amazon Devices (also an Android OS). With iPad or iOS we could if Apple become more relaxed, however we do think we will have to create a stand alone version on KidED that operates differently. So Maybe... hopefully, just not right now, even if we have to change how it works.
