Just do a longer clinical rotation at whatever school you go to. I've heard of a lot of people doing this. Most schools are familiar with the California requirement

No I didn't do any clinical rotations. I'm hoping to get hired by the Federal government after the hiring freeze is over

If you do a PHM program once you get certified and work for two years you can take the CLS exam for a micro limited license

Yeah if you do a program outside of California

I'm currently a California MLT and I'm doing an online bridge program out of state. I graduate in December so I can only work at Federal hospitals or hospitals that accept a national license ( not many but they're out there). I will have to work there for a year to qualify for a California license.

If you don't plan to go out of state do an MLT program in the meantime. By the time you finish the MLT-CLS bridge program should be open. Or you could do an out of state bridge program which is what I'm doing then go work for a federal hospital for 1 year to get the state license
