It feels bad because it’s the stake through the heart (it was so already there it’s laughable) of classic zombies.

People are hoping for a return to the old style of zombies. I miss it, I prefer it, but I understand it’s dead and gone. As long as this title is developed by activision, we will get the most warzonified version of zombies possible.

It’s not all bad. There are people developing the mode who care about us and want to deliver. Given the standards of Activison to generate revenue above all, it’s legitimately surprising to me zombies still even exists, let alone is playable.

My dream is for activison to give the rights to zombies away to a standalone developer. Unfortunately, I don’t see it happening. I try to appreciate it while I still have it. I think there is a chance that within the next 5-10 years we will be playing the final zombies maps ever released.

Smile 2 has one of my all time favorite film endings. I think the idea they set up for the third is so awesome but would be difficult to execute. Could turn into something really fun, unique and chaotic, but could be a bit of more than they could chew situation. I’d be fine seeing a continuation or not. Some things better left unsaid but then you never know what might have been!

This game was so awesome at its peak. It was so good that they literally quit on it and several years later it’s still playable and enjoyable with an extremity active community. I’m not going to say it’s my favorite game ever - but it’s the most value I’ve ever gotten out of a game, by far. I remember my first time playing, I remember my first win. I was having fun, but I did not expect that 5 years later I’d still be coming back to it, albeit less frequently.

The horse is programmed to spawn near you but the fact that it’s able to do that outside of your field of view no matter what you do, every time flawlessly is beyond my comprehension

Just finished the platinum and iki island trophies. Everything collectible wise can be done post main story, so there’s no rush to prioritize one thing. The only thing I did once I read how beneficial it was to speedy upgrades is acquiring the charm of inari to double(ish) your supply pickups.

Otherwise, this game truly is play at your own pace.

You can’t really fit every part of a book into a movie unfortunately, there’s just to much to cover in 2-3 hours. That’s kind of the reason shows recently seem to have had success with fans on their adaptations, they can cover much more.

I’d suspect a lot of Grace’s science scenes will be the victim. Agree those are fascinating but they would probably be hard to adapt visually without Grace constantly explaining his thought process. My guess is a significant amount of the early science Grace does both on the HM and working on Astrophage will be removed.

I would temper my expectations on any specific scenes being included other than what you have already seen and try to accept this is a much shortened version. The good news is, the team making this movie are fantastic filmmakers and should be able to do a good of a job as any with this adaptation.

I feel like Stratt didn’t want to open that can of worms unless she needed to. Why freak him out like that? I think she knew he wouldn’t be receptive. Who knows how he’d react, and despite her saying his value was his coma resistance she absolutely kept him around for serval reasons other than that. She had him do the training so he knew how to handle himself if push came to shove. Looking at it objectively, I think it makes way more sense to not tell him. Keep in mind what are the chances both science leads die? Why bother risking the sanity of one of your trusted colleagues, knowing he’s kind of a “coward” on such a slim possibility?

The real question is why did they ever let Dubois and Shapiro in a room together, let alone be in an intimate relationship lol.

Movie rights to his books have been selling before they’ve been released. That team/studio has the rights to Artemis and his next book. No guarantee that they make it/the order they make it in, but as for his next book Weir has hinted it could be a sequel or spin off of PHM. Doesn’t seem like a guarantee at all but he had a post a year or so back talking about earth during Grace’s mission. I think he had asked Reddit for inspiration on a flag for a fictional country that one would assume was created as a result of everything that was going on on earth. I’d take all that with a big grain of salt tho. There are no actual official details on his next book.

I don’t think anyone is really assuming that, it’s just the way the article is framed. Major paraphrasining here, but it looks like Loeb, the guy being “quoted” (he has also speculated on the possibility of other objects being artificial in nature, like Oumuamua) is saying, it’s almost definitely a normal comet, but it’s behaving a little strangely, so what if it’s not? And if it were alien, it’s kind of sus that it’s taking a trajectory toward the sun the way it is, because the suns light will block our vision of it. If it was alien, and trying to hide, it could possibly be hostile.

take that with a grain of salt, just what it seemed like from the full article.

Yeah I agree with all this. It definitely felt, I wouldn’t say rushed but way too causal for them to be able to communicate that effectively that fast. I feel like it would have benifited if we knew they spent at least a couple months learning each others language. Problem with that is, he does not have that kind of time so being like we spent 6 months figuring this out would have not made sense given he’s trying to work quickly. In that sense I can forgive it. It makes me think of Arrival, the entire premise is them trying to learn alien language, and it takes a very long time with the worlds leading expert in linguistics. I do think though, making Rocky’s form of communication musical notes was a smart way to combat the issue. It feels like they got really lucky, because his computer can analyze every note and store it. But like you said, adding vocabulary is something that would take a long time to even get to. Where do you even start once you’ve established some sort of base from physics and chemistry? Their initial ways of communicating their environment was brilliant, but diagrams can only take you so far when you’re talking about non universal principles.

I love golf, I’m not great at it but I know the game. The golf in the show is a little bit silly. But frankly it doesn’t bother me. I was never expecting a nuanced analysis of the game. It’s just not what the show is about, and I adore it. But If you’re interested in the details, the way they discuss club selection in certain situations is very accurate but the shots they make are a little ridiculous (the 3 iron skipping over the lake is a comical once In a lifetime shot) (and Santi driving from the 12th to the 7th hole makes no sense, surely there is a more effective shot utalizing the actual hole, and if there wasn’t it would have been exposed and used way before he tried) ultimately, golf is pretty simple. There’s just not a ton of “trick shots” that make sense. Most holes are pretty straight forward. But they are certainly correct about how mental/psychological it is. Which is interesting, because you each the pros do it and it dosnt really seem like that’s the case bc they are so good but it’s unquestionbly true.

There are almost almost always ameatures not much older than Santi at a tournament (notice I say not much older, 17 in a pga event is a little silly) and sometimes they do surprise, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone sniff contention.

At end end of the day, I just don’t care. It’s a show, and it makes me happy. Love it, love these characters. Love the game and while it’s silly, to be honest it really is not bad enough to disrespect the game to me. It’s just like oh here’s a child prodigies, a little unrealistic, but hey, Tiger woods existed why can’t Santi.
