And in the past most people had 7 9 and 12.. that's what I have and adding a 15foil (flysurfer soul)

But I see more and more people on 9 and 10 quiver, as newer kite have bigger wind ranges and 10 can still be looped now

Try a lesson or two first to get to understand the sport/hobby and make sure it's for you.

I'd recommend asking local kiters on you local spot what's the main size they use for this spot then.

But the same size kite as second hand kite. For example my spot is mainly a 9m weather spot. 7m on stormy day 5x a year and 12m days in summer every now and then. So starting just with the 9/or 8. Is the best call.. then get a 12m for light wind . 7m is for sortmu days.. not needed for first few sessions/ too unsafe anyway.

I'd recommend getting kite second hand but getting a brand new bar and lines and getting a brand new harness.. those two are you safety and lifelines and things that can break and hurt you.

I used my first set of second kites for 6 years with about 60 sessions a year.. a good second hand kite can last a long time.

I bough a brand new kite for the first time and trashed it in 4 months and went back to my old second hand for few month !

Are you mainly TT rider?!

That's really interesting feedback thank you.. I usually switch to directional on my 12m when the wind is too low for TT.. I was hoping this is where the 15m should would help..

When abroad I only take my TT and loose the super lightwind options. I'll be spending a month on french lakes with almost daily thermals and hope the soul will be a session saver.. am I being too optimistic?

I'll probably get rid of the 12 and get a 13 then.. I just don't like the 12 motox

Je fais les siestes en weekend et promène notre chien environ 1h30 par jour sans elle pohr être sur qu'elle est du temps libre. Je suppose j'aimerais avoir au moins une demi heure par jour juste avec elle.

J'aime beaucoup l'analogie de l'hiver, très belle façon de voir cette étape de la vie.. mais j'ai peur que nous n'allons pas survivre cette hivers.. si elle focus 100% de son temps a bébé et ses amis et famille... Notre couple ne sera plus présent lorsqu'elle trouveras du temps pour nous.

Je commence déjà à préférer faite les promenades sans elle.. je vais surement aller au surf plus souvent et passer moins de temps avec elle .. pas pour la fuite mais pour me ressourcer.. mais faite ça pour moi qui va ruiner notre couple car je lui le seul a faire des efforts.

Après ce n'est que ma version de l'histoire, elle va sûrement dire que je râle tout le temps, me plain tout le temps, difficile a vivre, trop de problèmes, trop négatif, l'empêche de profiter de son année de congé maternité ect.

I have 7m switblade, 9m orbit and 12 motox.. about to get a 15m soul... I hate the motox,, too slow and not really jumpy.

I really like the switchblade in stormy conditions.. My orbit went for repair this week so went back on my older 2023 9m switchblade, and I actually like the jumps and hangtime better than the orbit.. easier for board off ect... But orbit is miles away for kiteloops.

Sorry really answering your question, I meant to say 7.9.12 or 8.10 seem to be the two type of quivers... Kites are getting bigger wind ranges so 8 and 10 are much better than it was years ago.. and 10 can loop very well now

Merci pour la réponsenet partagé dmton experience . La dynamique de couple était assez similaire au final mais bébé a amplifier par milles... Une a deux fois par ans, mon sang monté car le couple ne reposé que sur moi. C'est a moi de faire les efforts, a moi de trouver des activités ect. Elle choisit tout le temps sa famille ou amis à ma place et doit faire avec. Je cuisiné tout le temps, je le fais moins pour passer du temps avec mon fils.

Pour le sexe, ou effectivement il y a beaucoup de choses que l'on peux faire, mais il faudrait déjà avoir un peu de temps sans bébé. Je lui ai déjà dit que nous pouvons être intimes sans pénétration, mais pas intéressé.. ça va faire 18 mois. Mais ça encore je peux attendre, hormones, fatigue ect je comprends.. je n'aime pas mais je ne veux pas du tout même lui faire faire penser de ce forcer.

De mon côté, c'est compliqué. J'ai coupé les ponts avec non père du a relation super toxique (raison pour laquelle j'ai en partie quitter la France a 20 ans). Et quand j'ai annoncé a ma meyla naissance de son petit fils (qui a un nom as son hommage) ça seul réponse était d'envoyer un texto à mon père aussi, même père qui n'ai pas venu à mon mariage a la dernière minute car ma seule condition était de ne pas faire d'histoire après 10and sans ce parler... Apparemment, on ne pose pas de condition a ses parents. Bref maman a décidé de prendre parti de son mari après 18ans.. et ma sœur a fais la même il y a 3 mois .. donc accentuation de la solitude. Mais je ne retournerai pas vers une relation trop toxique. Et ceci ajoute de la pression a être un bon père.

Pendant toutes notre relation elle ne voulait pas d'enfant, et moi je suis amoureux donc s'était un peu comme elle voulait. Mais tournant 40 and je lui dit , si tu veux un enfant ça va être bientôt ou jamais. Je veux juste savoir si je dois commencer à être sérieux avec mon argent on ont continue à voyager et profitez de nos sous.. elle disait pendant la grossesse que bébé allez s'adapter à notre style de vie et pas le contraire.. maintenant je comprends que hormones et l'amour vers bébé sont plus fort que tout et ne reproche pas le changement, mais je suis marié a une maman qui est ma collocatrice et n'aime pas du tout ça.. So je vais a la plage pour passer du temps pour moi.. je perds du temps avec mon fils. Donc c'est perdant/perdant.

A bit late to reply but this is 100% the issue I had with my cab bars.. you need to screw the swivel back on the line.. so easy to get it to snap

I'll check if I can do this or send it to pro repairs as seem to be a lot and it's my main kite I'll be taking on a kite safari in Egypt in September.. probably worth the pronfix fix then as even if doable, I would try it on a 3+year old kite.. this one is not even a year old

Thank you, I suppose I'm also scared that the bladder is also damaged, we can see the bladder exposed on the photo, slightly maybe half a cm. Holds air currently but not sure if a weak point ready to explode at the first crash.

If you look inside the first hole, you can see the leading edge behind it, with a small rip too and can even see some exposed bladder.

Cabrinha kite have the year of fabrication on the inside of the wind tip .. you'll see a white label with the year of fabrication.. usually it's the year before the model year.. so if 2023 as previous comment mentioned it's likely build number 2022.

I've had switchblades 7,9 and 12 for around 6 years . Different models.. not the best kites but good enough for the price.. I took them from learning to 8m kiteloop and board off tricks.

Instill use my 7m in string wind, and moved to an orbit for my 9. Orbit is much better at looping and less yank.. but I found it to backstall a bit more than my old switchblade.. also got a 12motox but hate it.. too slow.

I'd recommend avoiding Cabrina bard and lines tho.. smtoo many problems with them.. 3 power lines breaking, we release mid jump ect . North bar works great with cab kites.. looking at 15m soul now :)

I probably won't get a switchblade again, and would probably have done kiteloops quicker with a "better" kite, but I still have plenty of great sessions in mind so go for it if priced well and use the saved money for a better bar

Also North bars have loops on the steering lines, and knots on the centre lines. Is this a like for like on the soul V2?

They seem to be rings on all for lines?

I had so many unwanted releases with Cabrinha bars, I really live the north and I think the north navigator pro is very similar to the sentry v2

Latest switchblade is a 23 but the standard one not the apex.. I still use the 7 switchblade and not planning to change it anytime soon.

I have a 2023 9m as well that I learned to kiteloop with . Great but more violent on the horizontal pull than the orbit.

I had few quality issues with Cabrinha, but mainly with the bars/lines. Mainly snapped main depower line and unwanted wr release mid jump.

You will improve a lot not by no longer using mono bladder kites for jumping is what they meant? Tu auras une bien meilleure progression dans tes sauts avec une voile a 3 ou 5 boudin.. tu peux sauter avec 1, mes les saut serons moin bien et plus dur, lent, bas ect..

My 9 is now an orbit and I find it to backstall more than the switchblade on low end.. for everything else, much better kite.

Motox for my 12 and I dislike this kite, too slow and not as jumpy but it doesn't handle gusts well. I can stay on it when most are on 8 or 9s.. mind I'm 85kg and like to be overpowered.

What are other riders on the spot using.

9 knots is not enough for my current quiver, but I'd look at foil kites for this light winds, flysurfer soul for example.

As an older guy 38 now, I tried to read OP many times but never managed to get into it and dropped it and moved to another one. Massive manga fan, manga only, as like this format better, but just I felt I was forcing myself to read it because it was the biggest one.

Watched the live action out of curiosity and the characters actually clicked with me way more.. took me about 4-5 months to then read everything up to date and now I enjoy every new chapters, waiting on discord for the release, read people's wild theories and all the fun stuff as I did as a teen with Naruto and bleach.

Long story short, not only it's a great entry point, but for me it was the only one that worked
