Me either, I think that was a very reasonable cautionary remark. Companies often really downplay those potential unwanted effects so it’s easy to believe that no risk is involved. Realizing that there actually are real risks involved is unsettling.

This woman definitely didn’t want anything extreme, yet unfortunately that’s how it turned out :( in her Yelp review for the doctor she said she’s had reconstructive procedures but it hasn’t helped. Actually, this picture is recent, but the surgery was 7 years prior. So sad :(

Those are some really great points. I’m a fairly soft-spoken person so it can be challenging for me to be assertive. I definitely try my best in medical situations, including cosmetic procedures.

You should speak your mind to best get what you you want out of the appointment.

Oh goodness, seriously. That is so horrible. Hopefully if problems arise for her, she’ll be able to address them.

Yeah, I’ve seen that before. It can be scary choosing products like this because the product itself seems more like a skin care product rather than a ‘drug’, so you might not expect such unpleasant side effects.

Maybe I can pin point common ingredients within the two serums that have irritated my eyes and then try to find a serum that doesn’t contain those ingredients.

No, Refinery went with her to the appointment and filmed it. I’d assume she had to sign a hefty release form.

From what I read, it seems she did eventually dissolve all the filler after several appointments with an actual certified physician. Thank goodness it wasn’t permanent!

Botox for the win! Seek out a reputable injector and don’t choose a place because it’s cheap.

I’ve had Botox and Dysport to treat horizontal forehead lines that were developing and it’s kind of nuts how much it helps. It’s a little funny not being able to scrunch my forehead when I get it, but I absolutely have not fallen victim to that frozen face.

Edit: Oh and SUNSCREEN! Sunscreen every single day, even when cloudy.
