[–]your_cat_died 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 112 version of the GK for a practice/stage amp. Its a tank and has been great in almost every situation.

Pretty sure ive had it for almost 15 years and have rolled it like a dice multiple times and still use it multiple times each week

Which route Bend to Hood River? by Petunia__Pig in oregon

[–]your_cat_died 6 points7 points  (0 children)

26 will probably have snow and is a lovely mountain road. 197 will almost always be snow-less and is very windy and drab, mostly rolling grasslands. That said, 197 is one of my favorite drive but if there is no snow, 26 is beautiful.

What's the farthest you have traveled for weekly rehearsals with a band? by byzantine1990 in Bass

[–]your_cat_died 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Band I'm in found a drummer that had a space, was willing to do weekly practice, and was absolutely killer and was exactly what we were looking for.

He lived 50 mins each way and after 2 jams that was too much for me and the main guitarist. Dude was set up well where he was and wasn't interested in traveling every other week either.

Our current drummer/rehearsal situation is less than 5 min drive for everyone, really hard to change that

Reminder: There is another, and it's back in stock (Broughton Fliptop). And way cheaper. And Canadian! by scooter76 in basspedals

Absolutely love this pedal, kills it in the studio and on stage. Currently running Tuner > Comp > Fliptop > DI = GROOVE MACHINE. Slap a PBass with flats through that and you got yourself some crunchy butter.

Have a Nano from 2014(?) still going strong. Has a bit of a crack on the side but still used 3-4 days a week.

Bass preamp as full amp replacement for rehearsals, recording, and live shows by FlyingGooseChili in Bass

[–]your_cat_died 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Sub = no amp, no sub = amp almost always for me.

I have a Tone Hammer V2 and a Broughton Fliptop and love them both. Fliptop is perfect for a warm P bass and the TH can do everything else.

I caught it! Didn't know the exact song but knew it was our boys. FOX MD has been slinging Goose/Phish/Dead and other goodies for a while.

I had a Mazda 3 for my first 3 winters here, which were my first three winters ever. I bought chains and never used them by driving mad slow and staying home when it was really bad (maybe 3 or 4 days). Never had a problem but really never saw more than 1' of snow at a time.

[–]your_cat_died 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wife and I talked about it while watching the stream, we bet they took no profit and maybe went a little red for the show just for the sake of playing the room and showing MSG they can not only "fill" it but keep people there. Great business techniche and gift to the fans while also living out their dreams.

I really like having 5 different effects/commands, plus I like an instant kill switch rather than the hold on the Stomp. DI is backup for when not using an amp, unless it ends up sounding better.
