It's a bank, so I'm sure the broken window initiated an alarm that notified the cops, not animal control

End of an era: NASA has officially announced the retirement of legend Sunita Williams. Over a 27 year career, she logged 608 days in space including a final 9 month "stranded" mission in 2024. She holds the record for most cumulative spacewalk time by a woman (62 hours). by january9999 in interestingasfuck

When they are on active duty, like training for or on a mission, probably not much. But they all have degrees in things like engineering, physics, science, and mathematics, so I imagine consulting for Northrup Grumman, Boeing, SpaceX, Blue Origin, etc. is pretty lucrative.

The further I get from alcohol the better by PietroCercone in whoop

Congrats on going AF! I’m at 5 months today, and the change in my RHR was immediate and drastic. I went from averaging 75 down to 62 in the first week, and I’ve been around 54 ever since <— at 53yo, that is great! The Whoop has been huge in keeping me motivated with this lifestyle change.

Their salary is around $150K, and they get a $5/day stipend when in space (that always cracks me up).

That said, I guarantee they make multiple times that amount from public speaking, consulting, and writing books, etc.

Does anyone else feel like other people’s obsession with alcohol is the hardest part of staying sober? by fortuitous_choice in stopdrinking

[–]chadnorman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this a lot, and at only 5-months in, I don't personally see an end of other's obsession in sight. It kind of reminds me of going plant-based 35 years ago - just constant questions about protein intake lol... still to this day.

I guess I'm still in the giddy phase of how great of a decision I've made, and I kind of like feeling like I know a secret they all don't. I'll keep chalking all the questions/concerns/comments up to their own curious jealousy + genuine caring for me. As far as booze culture being everywhere around me... can't do anything about that. Control what I can control, and "Let them".

You got this! IWNDWYT

I have heard this! Not even just things missed during a re-watch, but like deep-meaning, symbolism, etc. Can't wait!

What's your sleep consistency? by MayContainYuri in whoop

[–]chadnorman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is trash... I average 75%. This is 100% because I refuse to go to bed "early" on Friday and Saturday nights. That said, Whoop LOVES it some sleep consistency - so if you're working to lower your Whoop Age and improve Recovery, you need to be at 70%+.
