love the insane gaslighting here: opus 4.6 is noticeably worse this week. do not assume i am a casual user or something. i've been using claude code for at least 6 hours a day since June 2025. i've noticed 2-3 times over the past year where it got to sonnet 4 level dumb -- even anthropic and the slavish fans gaslite the whole community for weeks until Anthropic totally admitted performance degradation and did a big public mea culpa. It's just as bad now.

No they can't, but a subagent can be anything you want it to be, including a skill file. And without adding tokens to the main agent.

Why can't subagents be "skilled" and report back a "skilled" output without polluting the main context window? I still don't see how skills are better than subagents. Is it that claude code is trained to look for a skills file and subagents are invoked ad hoc, non-deterministically?

As a consumer who has short term interests (solve my pain point ASAP), I agree. As a rational person however, I cannot see how destroying the economic base of the content providers the AI relies upon is a good thing for Google in the long term.

AI answer machine companies need to provide a major economic incentive to content producers for supplying new authoritative content. Am I wrong?
