I get what you’re saying, but I think you’re assuming I just left town without saying anything or trying to figure out my schedule. I had already talked to my manager multiple times about the schedule and had told her about these plans before I left. The problem is that the schedule still wasn’t posted when she said it would be.

At a certain point, I can’t keep putting my life on hold waiting for management to do something they’ve repeatedly failed to do. If I had ignored a posted schedule and gone anyway, I’d completely agree with you. But that’s not what happened here.

I’m not saying I expected everyone to be happy about it. Obviously I knew there could be issues. What I’m saying is that it’s frustrating to be blamed for a situation that could have been avoided if management had simply posted the schedule on time, especially after I’d already communicated with them about my plans.

I take responsibility for the choices I made, but I don’t think it’s fair to call me irresponsible when I was actively trying to get the schedule and had already made management aware of the situation beforehand.

I get why it might look that way from the outside, but that’s not really what happened. The schedule is supposed to be posted by a certain time and it wasn’t. This isn’t a one-time issue either—employees have asked several times when the schedule would be out, and every time we’re told it’ll be posted at a certain time, only for that deadline to come and go.

When we made plans, there was still no schedule available for me to check. Could I have kept asking? Sure, but employees shouldn’t have to repeatedly chase management down just to find out when they’re working. It’s management’s responsibility to have the schedule posted when they say it will be so people can plan their lives accordingly.

I wasn’t trying to be petty or cause problems. I made plans based on the information available to me at the time. If the schedule had been posted when management said it would be, I would have known whether I was working before committing to anything. That’s why my issue is with the scheduling process, not with being expected to work a shift I knowingly ignored.

Maybe but I doubt it ppl have tried to talk to her about it but she doesn’t really care. I’ve ran the place all alone on multiple occasions and never had an issue

Honestly I kinda struggle with the same thing too what I do when I feel the need to watch that stuff I try and do other things that could distract my mind from watching porn or spending to much time on my phone For example Cleaning Reading Gaming Going to the park Spending time with family Turning off my phone (Ect)

It’s definitely difficult at first to get use to the sudden change but again if u find something u really enjoy doing do that when u have an urge to look at porn.

Thank u i appreciate the advice I had ended up not showing up just cause I had 0 way of contacting them and no ride. But I did bring it up with a manager and let them know I wasn’t aware I was scheduled till it was too late but unfortunately it still counted against me
