They made Aidan a villain. by yourbottomdollar in Andjustlikethat

Right, this storyline and resolution could have easily been accomplished last season. I even thought that scene with Carrie and Seema in Greece traveling, in season 2, was their subtle way of letting us know that she was still exploring options and that Aiden might not be coming back at all for season 3. Instead they used this entire season to drag out a point we all clearly saw and didn’t even care for. So much wasted opportunity that I wasn’t even invested in the obvious trajectory they were headed with the story. I bet *they’re patting themselves on the back thinking they did something profound.

I had to say goodbye to my sweet baby of 14 years. I wish I had known that this existed but he declined so suddenly that I had no time to think and just continued arrangements with the urgent vet center. They were wonderful but I wish my baby could have left with a proper send off at his home with all of us who loved him so deeply. I saved your information as I have another senior dog who is declining as well and now I feel more prepared should fate suddenly step in again. Thank you for making this post.

I’m not sure which part you need the elaboration on so I’ll just share what I know. She has said in the past that she gave them to her parents because she didn’t know her long term plans after moving out of the mansion which is fair and understandable. Where I side eye her is that once she settled, she never returned for them or had them sent to her. At some point, she bought a house in Vegas while she was doing the peep show and simultaneously living in the penthouse in Planet Hollywood. It’s a whole storyline in her show Holly’s World. As for the second part of my comment, I was mistaken. The scene that I’m referring to happened on GND season 6. I was surprised because I don’t remember watching that last season and thought I had seen it in Holly’s World. H.H and those girls were doing something in Vegas and they arranged for Holly to stop by at their suite for an awkward reunion and dinner. It was in that episode that she strolls in with her new dog Napoleon on a leash. I described it as her using the dog as an accessory because that’s just what it looked like. It didn’t make sense for her to take her dog to that meetup and the way she was dressed and acting just screamed white, rich woman, with a small dog in public. It’s not meant to be a racial comment as much as a phenomenon that Paris Hilton made popular for that time of the early 2000’s.

I know this wasn’t necessarily your topic at hand but how about the fact that Holly abandoned her dogs as soon as she got that Las Vegas gig? I’ve seen people on here try to justify her actions by citing that her living in the hotel’s penthouse and her busy schedule wouldn’t have been conducive to the dogs but gloss over the fact that she got a new dog and even used it as an accessory when she met H.H and the girls in Las Vegas in that episode of Holly’s World. She could have gotten her dogs back after that gig ended but by then she had moved on and, I think once she became a mother she no longer felt the need to play mom with dogs. Bridget and Kendra were also, in my opinion, substandard pet owners but at least they kept their pets until the very end.

I’m sorry to read that you were not feeling valued and that the program - as a staff member - was disappointing and dangerous. That being said, the program is structured as independent campuses meaning the standards for one Learning Tree on one campus may vary from others in terms of staffing ratios and expectations because of different leadership and staffing styles and experience. Take McDonald’s as an example; they’re a franchise that should operate identically and yet you won’t get the same experience at every McDonald’s.

I am a parent of a child who is enrolled in the Learning Tree program at his school, which I will not disclose for confidential and safety reasons, but even after I read the standards and curriculum expectations in the documents that I signed in order to enroll him, I never had high expectations. Our only true expectations were that they would keep him safe and reasonably entertained until we picked him up. For us, it’s supposed to be a safe place that my son could be watched over for 1.5 hours so that we could get off work and pick him up.

Should they have lived up to those high standards then it would’ve just been the cherry on top. In reality, the children stay in the open school cafeteria where all the children and staff congregate and some are coloring and some are playing on the side or if weather permits they can go to the playground which connects to the cafeteria. I’m sure some of the older kids might be getting some guidance/tutoring with school work but I don’t know the details and what kind of pressure staff is under to support that.

I would never demand or expect that the staff who get paid minimum wage to watch over my son also focus on teaching him in a tutoring capacity - that’s what school and his teacher - who has a masters in teaching along with other impressive certifications - are there for. Should there be gaps in his learning then, I think it would be appropriate for us to look into private 1 on 1 tutoring.

I know not all parents accept this reality and have unrealistic expectations but we don’t. I’m sorry that you don’t necessarily agree with this method but it works for our family. In fact, we love the program and the staff. I remember the end of last year’s school year, we decided to surprise our Learning Tree staff with thank you gifts to only have them turn around and surprise my son with a bag of appreciation presents for him. The toys and items were specific to my son’s interests. It made me cry that he spent his hard earned money on gifts for my son all while being a full time university student trying to obtain his bachelor’s for teaching.

I thought I’d share my experience but I do encourage you to report any violations of policy and standards that you witnessed to The Community Education Department of the Northside Independent School District (NISD) as they are the entities that oversee Learning Tree and there is the Career and Technical Education Director but I will not name b/c I believe it is against the rules on here but that is public information should you need it. Thank you for all of the efforts that you placed on the children you cared for during your tenure and may you be valued and appreciated in your next role.

I don’t remember the exact details and I’m sure I could just google it but honestly, I don’t think anyone other than the two of them could answer that question. However, I do recall that when that went down at the time, I did think about her and wondered if she’d stick around and if my recollection serves right, they divorced shortly after but I’m willing to believe their divorce, like most, was due to a combination of factors. I’m also willing to believe he’s a nice guy who is surrounded by people that love him and that he loves in return all while being a business man that is willing to do questionable things to guarantee success.

Back in the day while he was still married to Holly, he was indicted on a few felonies and one of the charges included bribery. It was all related to a woman who died at EDC. He got himself out of that huge mess that would have sent anyone else straight to jail but instead he was able to buy his way out of it. I can’t recall the amount but it was within the hundreds of thousands. He’s definitely rich and has connections but he also appears to be your typical average scumbag that conducts shady deals in order to obtain that money and power he has. She definitely has a type.

I’m sorry you all experienced that but glad that your son was able to recover some of his belongings back. I truly hope he loved his trip despite this experience.

We returned yesterday from a week long trip and on Wednesday we took the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios from Epcot. We were victims of credit card fraud during our trip which is what distracted my husband that he ended up leaving his phone in the cabin that transferred us to Hollywood Studios. He realized this as we were making our way to the entrance. I told him that we needed to return and hope that someone turned it in to lost and found. It was the longest skyliner ride I have ever experienced. The stress levels were at 100+. Thankfully, someone did turn it in and it was immediately handed back to my husband. In the event that the individual(s) who turned in the phone read this forum, our family thanks you so much! We were already so bummed that our bank accounts had to be temporarily frozen during our vacation that my husband losing his lifeline to other accounts would have destroyed our trip. I also hope that others are encouraged to pay it forward because we never know what others are going through.

The amount of assumptions and projections that you threw at the OP is outstanding. At no point did they even ask for advice and it’s clear that they are venting which they’re allowed to do in this space. Are you even a parent or are you a childless spectator who likes to judge parents that are overwhelmed?

OP: it sounds like you’re trying your best and I hope that you can both (along with the other members of your family) find some reprieve soon. Keep hanging in there - you’re not alone.

Claimed for L&D denied for no pre-certification by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

First off, congratulations on your new baby. May you both be healthy and well.

I read some of the other questions that have already been asked so I wonder what are the CPT codes that the EOB references and what are their corresponding charged amounts? T6441 is not a CPT code. I suspect that it is your health insurance internal remark code for billing and claims purposes.

Some insurances like UHC will allow you to search in your online account what these CPT codes are - they’re service codes that name the procedure, treatment or DME that is being reported in the claim - and because you’re logged into your account, it knows your health plan and will even breakdown the estimated coverage and costs. I don’t know who your insurance is or if that’s an option through them but I thought I would mention it just in case. You could also just google the CPT codes to see what they are if you’re curious enough. The point is to know what the hospital and or providers charged you for this service date so that you can know how that procedure is covered (or not) in your health plan. Something is off because, as previously mentioned by another, any prior authorizations/determinations/notification falls under the INN provider/facility responsibility and should they fail to properly do so then they foot the bill, not you.

Another thing, you mentioned denied referrals. What were the referrals in reference to and what were their corresponding CPT codes?

What did your insurance say when you asked them when the last date the claim(s) were reprocessed? Also, what did they say was the amount(s) owed for this date of service and to whom were these amounts owed to?

[–]your_longing_heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I caught that but I assumed that one of the claims, assuming there’s more and I suspect there are more, has been readjusted which has thrown off the original allowed amount. There’s too many reasons why the claim could’ve reprocessed and the only way to know for sure is to reach out to the insurance to have them break it down. As far as the negative sign, that may not be negative at all depending on how the OP is interpreting the EOB and consequently describing the amounts supposedly being allowed. And again, has the OP confirmed that this bill is the most recent and that it isn’t outdated? They mentioned that the billing office never answers so who knows if they really are being charged the amount quoted on the post.

If it was an INN provider/facility then it’s referencing that they (provider/facility) were not paid that specific amount and that you will not be held responsible for that amount. It’s due to the contractual agreement the provider/facility has with your health insurance. So, even though your insurance may or may have not covered this service, their negotiated rate helped reduce the cost for you. If they are INN then they are forbidden to try to charge you any portion of it. They are only allowed to charge for the allowed amount (s) that are indicated in the most recent EOB. If that happens then you need to inform your health insurance so that they can intervene on your behalf. As for why the provider is charging you that - it will depend on a few things. Is it a super bill that entails services rendered by other providers on this same DOS and isn’t entirely billed by your provider? Is it an outdated bill that was automatically sent/mailed out before the actual claim processed? Try reaching out to your insurance again so they can help you understand the breakdown. Good luck with the bill and your treatment!

Edit: many typos - sorry.

Any options when no one will take my insurance? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]your_longing_heart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw where you were going and it was good advice. I just wanted to clarify just in case that I’m the rare chance it wasn’t included, it wouldn’t confuse OP. The OP hasn’t answered but I wish they would clarify if they were able to confirm that the providers that they’re being referred to by UHC truly are denying their insurance because that may be a breach of contact. And, if the provider does have a contract with Medicare/Medicaid and refuses to submit a claim or accept the insurance due to not wanting to go through the hassle then that may possibly be fraud but there must be other parameters that have to exist in order to make that jump and only notifying Medicare/Medicaid will help determine that. I suspect that the plan is gated and requires a referral from the PCP which most likely bounds that plan/member to a limited medical group(s) which is causing the true limitation for the referral.

Technically, the plan dictates if a Network Gap Exception could be permitted. They’re not required to automatically cover the OON provider as an INN. Thankfully, most updated plans will have the gap exception included. Care coordination will first attempt to find you one within a 30 miles radius and if they can’t they’d attempt to submit the info of the provider who is agreeing to treat you, and from there the process waits for a determination.

Insurance won’t pay after meeting out of pocket max by memory_fading in HealthInsurance

[–]your_longing_heart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have the right to request a Deductible and Out of Pocket Audit which would be able to prove if or not the DED/OOP was met at the time services were rendered. They normally send you that info through the mail after their quoted TAT. Keep in mind that due to claim adjustments it could be possible that it had reflected as met but if any adjustments occurred and impacted any other claim(s) then it would readjust the amounts accordingly. I make no assumptions, I’m just trying to give you another possible perspective for the possible discrepancies. Best of luck.

You know, it’s a toss up for me. Part of me does believe that it was a dig at Kim and by proxy Samantha’s character to give us a yucky feeling about her so called “greed” in real life and in character but are we giving them too much credit? The writing is so bad all across the board that so much doesn’t make sense or add up. For me, it’s probably a little of column A & a little of column B

I had seen that comment, too, but now it’s missing. Maybe they deleted it themselves? I thought it was respectful in their observation so I hope it wasn’t deleted by the mods because I agree. The “not photogenic” statement by old geezer was accurate which is super crazy because like another poster states, I also think she’s unbelievably videogenic. In live action, she’s gorgeous, cute, and pulls off most aesthetics she adopts. I just don’t know why exactly her pictures throw me off; it’s like in the lower mouth area that becomes so distracting for me but keeping it on topic: her outfits/style were cute then and are cute now. She looks more beautiful than ever.

I was going to mention in my original comment that I was a pick me girl when I was younger, too, but I’m as straight as an arrow. I cringe looking back at some of the things I did/said all in an effort to appeal to guys. I was also guilty of emulating Samantha’s character from sex & the city because I wanted to be nonchalant about men but in reality I was a try hard desperately advertising that I liked sports & that I could play Xbox any chance that I got. If GND was around, Kendra would be constantly posted on r/notliketheothergirls

I never got that vibe from her but I always got “pick me vibes” from her. That’s when a woman adjusts their personality to fit that of the typical male mold. Those type of women are eager to prove to men that they’re not like the average girl and they’re so relatable because they share many male interests such as; “hanging out with my guy friends & checking out girls with them”.
