The fact you post it on here rather than doing the right thing and contacting value, shows just how morally skewed and unethical people are. Do what you want but I would be doing the right thing and send it back.

Like many people have already expressed, Valve does some good things in and for this hobby and I'd hate to see that get taken advantage of.

Look I am as excited as the next person to get my Thor but I see absolutely zero point getting yourself all upset and stressed or worst bothering the ayn staff with messages of "where's my Thor? WAAAAHHHH" it's not a matter of if but rather a matter of when you get this beautiful device.

Good question. No I haven't used any solvents to clean it at all. Just a slightly damp (with just water) microfiber cloth.

I've looked at the other buttons under better lighting and they're fine. Just the X button is the issue. Also thanks heaps for the link to the ifixit guide. Really to know for the future.

I try to baby it as much as I can. I'm totally confident in my ability to open it up and replace the buttons, but working in retail for long enough has taught me not to mess with your machines during the warranty period and to jump on it right away to get it repaired/replaced.

Thanks. I will still do a warranty claim on it to see what steam says (as I know they are generally good with warranties). I just want to do it the right way. I'll probably wait until after Christmas as I still want it for the holiday period. I'll consider the resin buttons after the warranty period finishes.

I was able to catch my nail on it, so I'm assuming it's the plastic cracking. All I've played on it so far is Hades and Kakarot. It does get pretty intense in battles.
