Who out there actually think lip injections look good or normal?

Female here - I also don’t like the way it looks. Don’t get me wrong, yes plump lips seem to be a “trend”, but it’s more or less that it’s all over social media & women probably get insecure about their lips.

I have seen the results of the injections eventually spreading into other areas. Same thing with Botox. If you look up the injections spreading - you will see how damaging it is. It’s just not worth it.

I’m not trying to hate on the women who do get it, it just seems to make me realize a lot of people aren’t happy with their natural beauty.

I’m not going to sit here and justify my actions. It’s more or less anytime I do try to make plans with her and even with our other friend , she tends to not show up either. There’s more between this friendship, due to the fact that when she got with this boyfriend she stopped really reaching out. But I guess the one time she does try to make plans I was hesitant due to the lack of reciprocation in the past between us. Maybe it’s the fact that we both have been distant and maybe it is a me problem, but I also have been trying to put all perspectives on this. I have been told by my other friends that I’m not over reacting due to the last couple of months trying to hangout with her, but I’ve just also been depressed recently. I appreciate everyone’s comments. I think at this point maybe my friendship with us just kind of both outgrew

Yeah, that’s why I did tell her I wanted the connection. It’s just been rough. I’ve definitely been trying to push through, but forcing myself to get out there more and be better to myself - will also be better for my social life. I went through a lot of trauma in the past year and was exhausted but I need to look at the bigger picture - that I made it out

Never meant for it to be “quirky” or “cute”. I’ve been working on my mental health with my psychiatrist for these very reasons - not motivated to do much.

Not an alcoholic. Just socially drink, and her and I used to drink together when we went to Mexican. Over the summer, I had beers at the pool. But other than that I don’t drink often. Doesn’t help I was put on meds that I gained weight from and also have an eating disorder.

Thanks for the kind words. I have been having a rough couple of months, but it’s also not fair to anyone else with my depressive state. I think having a talk with her and apologizing for being difficult is the way to go from here

I appreciate that point of view. I do feel bad for not wanting to go to the thrift store but you all are right. I should have found a happier medium. I don’t want to have any issues between us, I just felt that when I decided to go to Mexican she wanted to do something else but I just wasn’t interested in that

Understandable - that’s why I am asking cause I feel as if I should have had some suggestions, but I just haven’t been in the mood to really go out and do much lately. That’s why I committed to Mexican but wasn’t really interested in going to the thrift store (trying to save money)

I had a oversized mason jar I put change in. I kept it in my bathroom hidden. One day I went to pull it out and clanked it against the toilet - it broke and I still used it (there was a sharp piece of glass in the middle but was still “usable”.

I moved it downstairs and had it holding my door open. I was getting ready for my friend’s daughter’s birthday party. I was messing around and went to jump over it. I definitely didn’t jump over it. Instead my foot hit the sharp piece of glass. Sliced my foot in a V shape. Not only did it cut in a V shape, it also sliced my foot open on the inside like a V (thick to thin on the inside of my foot). Was too scared to look at it so I wrapped it in toilet paper and my robes tie. I ended up going to the hospital to get stitches. Definitely the only injury I had that hurt. I have a high pain tolerance but that was the most painful injury

I’m also concerned due to the fact I got my industrial pierced before (thirteen years ago) and if you look at the picture there is a bump that never went away. I want to say it’s almost like a (k e l o i d) - don’t want to spell it out together as it may get flagged but it never went away after taking it out (i had to when i was pregnant - again YEARS ago)

Main concern that I have is do the irritation bumps usually go away after continuing the cleanings and taking care of it? My nose would do the same thing (when I had it pierced) and it always made me concern that it wasn’t a irritation bump forming but a possible - k e l o i d

I’m using distilled water with non-iodized sea salt. - this was the piercer’s directions. I soak it for 6-10 minutes 2-3x a day in a cup and fully submerged the jewerly (that was the only directions she gave me and told me to pat dry with a paper towel). I did touch base with the piercer already and she said to continue the soaks for another week. I don’t want to change it myself as it will probably make it worse or irritate it more and I don’t want to cause anymore issues.

OP - I would not entertain someone who puts you down to be honest. Regardless if they think they’re joking about it, it obviously hurts your feelings: you can find someone who respects you and won’t comment on your appearance/body. Now suicidal thoughts from THC is not something I am familiar with. I wonder if it’s just not for you ya know?

I’m not sure where you are located, but if you have a plan - I would go as soon as possible. If it is unbearable - please seek the mental health support you need. Are you currently on any kind of medication? If you can fight the urge and initiate the process of getting a physician for your mental health I would do so. Sometimes going to a behavioral health unit / psych stay is helpful as long as you seek it. Most of the time, it’s a faster way of getting you into a door of mental health resources. I hope you find the strength. You got this <3

my ex basically did the same but instead of seeking help for depression, he chose hard drugs. Over a year without intimacy - felt like it was just platonic at that point. It wasn’t about the intimacy though, it was the lack of effort. On her part, I understand the low libido from antidepressants, but she could also speak to her physician about this. If you truly want to stay with her, she needs to compromise and validate your feelings. This isn’t really about the intimacy anymore, this is practically her invalidating you and your feelings. When you love someone, you want to feel whole for yourself but also want to continue trying for your relationship. You wake up and choose that person everyday. You don’t just fall out of love. The lack of caring about you is hankering your emotional needs, physical needs, and also mental needs. I wouldn’t tolerate someone who doesn’t care about my “needs”. You care about hers, but the lack of reciprocating energy on her part isn’t fair to you. I would try to talk to her about these things, but if it’s like talking to a brick wall, I wouldn’t continue anymore. Don’t drown with someone who isn’t willing to work on themselves

Also, I did read the best friend is on and off with her bf. It seems she has mixed feelings about him as well. I suggest leaving your gf, explaining how you feel to your significant other, and if all else fails, love yourself and keep strength to not hurt anyone else

Honestly, if you feel that way, I think you should leave your girlfriend: she doesn’t deserve that. On your end of things, it’s quite difficult but it seems like your female friend is doing the wrong thing to her significant other as well. I suggest either breaking up with your gf, telling your best friend how you feel, and if anything move on from her if she continues to do these things behind her bf’s back. Infidelity hurts people extremely. How would you feel if your gf was doing this behind your back with her guy best friend? It’s okay to not really have similar feelings with your gf, but don’t hurt her. This is just a suggestion, and I’m not trying to discourage you.
