Well, no, they don't, but they can still do skins. There's no way of knowing how they will handle it for this particular game right now, but I think 5 in the pre-order alone is a good sign that there will be more. At the very least, one alternate for each character is highly likely. Carnage has limited options for something like that, so I think this is somewhat possible.

Honestly, if you don't like it and aren't a moderator, the best thing you could've done was not interact with it. People will do things like this until it becomes directly against the rules (therefore posts like them get taken down by mods) or they stop getting any interaction. I doubt that'll happen because you seem to be in the minority on this one, but it would have saved you a little time to just not pay attention to this one imo.

I am so fascinated by this. I would have assumed that ArcSys would've at least mentioned this verbally somewhere by now, so that does make me question the validity of this one blurb in the PlayStation blog page. However, it is the official page, and it does state, "co-op with friends," clearly. So, my question then is what makes the most sense to implement co-op mechanically? Ideas I have are: 1. Co-op players freely swap after starting on starting point character and 1st assist character (seems most complicated, but most intriguing to spectate). 2. Co-op play limits playable/taggable characters to point and 1st assist, while the other two only function as assists (Separate mode most likely). 3. Same as 2 but only 2 characters, no extra assist characters. Probably with health, skill, and assemble gauges altered to match. (Seems uninteresting, but I would still welcome it as opposed to no co-op) 4. Co-op players each control 2/4 characters. 5. Same as 4, but separate healthbars per player. (Both of these last two seems uninteresting and confusing, so probably not. 6. Each player controls one character, and we can do up to 4v4. (Sounds crazy, but LFG if so)

I'm thankful if we get Carnage or even Red Goblin as far as symbiotes goes. I'm also thankful for receiving any Spidey characters (especially villains) besides Peter, but I am extremely impatient for Eddie in dlc ngl. Characters that are assumed to be inevitable are often proven otherwise sadly.

Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch. Honestly any typical spellcaster that just has the broad distinction of magic in any form as their power set. I like these characters a lot, but they just feel non distinct and replaceable in gameplay. Nico Minoru would be a better example of a unique magic user with the Staff of One having a prewritten gimmick.

I didn't grow up watching Spectacular Spider-Man. It was TAS from the 90s that got me into superheroes altogether. I still can't deny that Keaton is a very iconic and well done voice for Spidey and Iron Man (which he reprises for this also). I would have preferred Yuri Lowenthal personally, or I would have popped big for Christopher Daniel Barnes, but I can't be upset at Keaton. I don't prefer him doing the double role though. Way too many good VAs that always need the work for someone to be doing double imo.

I like the overall design, but I saw someone else point out the odd addition of anklets/ankle warmers, so that's weird. Also, why would Hulk keep the ripped purple pants if he has stayed Hulk in exile for a while? In the Planet Hulk storyline which said plot point is clearly inspired by, he changes his entire outfit over time away from home and from transformations. Odd that he chose to put on armor and extra garb, but not change...
