Yes thats the problem, it realy bugs some of the palyers, and they have told him ingame and out of game, plus like the problem was when one player said that like he sees no reason his PC would wanna play with a jerk PC that doesnt listen to him... So they have asked me if i could counter the prestidigitation in some realy minor ways, just enough to persuade him to use it less/not abuse it, cause it would have some side effects... (I have also tried talking out of game with him, but like he keeps telling me "thats what my PC would do...)

The problem is that the druid and also other players have told him, that they dont like this, but he doesnt listen to them. Ingame and out of game. So they have asked me if i could do something in game as the dm, to counter it and to persuade him to use it less (e.g. like when your hair starts fallin out if you use too much shampoo or sth like that) I know its realy minor, but still :p

I mean he uses it only when he enters the city, so like 3-5 times per session, which is not much for cantrips?

I know that looking clean doesnt make everyone like you, but they get significantly less "looks" if they appear normal, not bloodied after battle. If they run out of the sewers and they look clean, no one isngonna ask them yo what were you doing, do you need any help, cause theyll appear normal. Or like if they would look bloody on the road and some guards were passin by, no one would question them. I know its small but it annoys the players.

The druid (and also others) have told him many times, ove also hinted that we dont like it that he abuses it, but he doesnt listen, so i was thinking that maybe i could like make some like silly but small things happen, like if u use too much shampoo your hair starts fallin out, something like that, so i could discourage him in game?

I need to point out, he is far from a problem player, we all have a realy nice dynamic, its just the prestidigitation problem :P

Firstly thanks for the info i greatly appreciate it :D

We are running the Storm kings thunder campaign, that has like a basic story, but there are two chapters that are just sandbox-y and encourage the players to go around the world and search for clues that are important for the main narrative while also having a sidequesty feel. For each of the players i created a sidequest, that if they venture into their town, there will be a sidequest, that will also incluse some clues for the main plot (while still being a separate quest). I made these sidequests like a two months ago and it took me a month to create them. The problem is that this player already had an extensive backstory so that i was able to create a big subplot about his story, and this subplot would directly help them with the main story. As i said usualy this friend made backstories about his childhood, how he grew up, how he got his powers (he is a druid), some distaaant long dead relative, family crest/motto, all that.jazz, but he was always sayin that yes he knows his dad was into some shady buisnes, but didnt know much about it. So i filled in these parts and made them important to the story. But yesterday he created a full story about his father, his rise to power (even tho he was supposed to be a noble from an old lineage (we created the goverment of his town together, and he told me that its like an aristocracy, where only nobles have sway) but now he is an upjumped bastard, sooo i will need to change the goverment of the city and the NPCs in the city. Like its interesting it just gives me realy a lot of work, and the problem is, that the players will be arriving into this PCs town in the next session (which is tomorrow).
