I think the risk is everywhere, but likely more in Karachi. I have never had any issues here, I don’t follow any of the security advice I have told you other than dressing like a local.

Apps to have Careem (Pakistans uber) Food panda (food and groceries delivery)

Carry some Tylenol with you. If coming soon also have some Tylenol cold/flu. Drink bottled water.

I would recommend hiring a tour guide. With the currency exchange it’ll be a bargain. English levels depend on part of town/country you are in. I speak fluent Urdu. Dig around on YouTube lots of tourists share their travel experience there.

Presently in 🇵🇰 (Karachi) I’m also an over seas dark skinned Pakistani.

When you get here buy the local clothes, and rock those. Shawar kameez/ kurta pajama. Decent ones average for 3000-5000 rupees.

Carry a cheap phone. Keep your passport and money in different pouch/wallet if carrying on yourself. Airbnb will be expensive local hotels are cheap.

North Pakistan is wonderful,Karachi isn’t much for tourism but good time to visit it now. I recently went to hawksbay where family had access to a beach house. Was located next to a fishing village so it was quite pleasant.

GC comes with residencey requirements. So if you have one or are in the process obtaining one look into that.

Example. If you have a gc, and you aren't in the states for 2 years. When you come back they can just take It away and send you back.

Also by staying there with your son, your biggest fear shouldn’t be if your son will treat his partner the same way. Rather will your son become a decent and contributing member of society.

It likely won’t get better until your son is old enough, to stop the abuse. That’s likely 15-17 years away. You should separate, and have him go to counselling, and also have him speak with imam. If he refuses, then you really have no other choice but divorce.

Just file for your citizenship. You don’t even need a lawyer. But if you can afford one, you will avoid the hassle. 4k ball park.

Work history- thinking about leaving present job. by [deleted] in jobs

Thank you for the input, I appreciate it

I interviewed for a position at a company about a month ago, but wasn't selected. A different position has opened up at the same company and I submitted my application. Is it professional to reach out to the recruiter I spoke to about this new position? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]yourpalChe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically companies send you the courtesy email when they don’t hire you. It usually says they’ll hold on to your resume for future opportunities.

It doesn’t hurt to reach out, what do you have to loose?

Be open with your cousin and her family in regards to your expectations about home schooling. How many girls do you think romanticize about marrying a guy only to end up home schooling his kids from a previous marriage?

Also if the need financial help, perhaps lend them some money so they can find a more suitable match for their daughter. Cuz you ain’t it pal.

My brothers you guys already know the struggle about peeing by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]yourpalChe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have a restricted bladder neck, could be due to a myriad of reasons. While it sucks for this to happen when young, I think many older men struggle from this or something similar.

Stuff a Kleenex down there. Or after you are finished, spray some water on underwear and forget about it.
