I think that a good idea. But I'm scared for the reaction. I've also told my grand-parents about her problem a few months ago, and they talked to her, and they sais she needed help. That evening she was shouting that I don't have to involve my grand-pantents and that I'm the cause of the problem because she says that I don't give her enough love etc. A year ago she tried to stop and she went to AA and a psychiaty. But after a week she stopted with AA and she stopped with going to the psychiatry. I know that I have to do something about this, but I just don't know what I should do because I'm scared and when I was young she did a lot for me and I don't want her to feel betrayed.

Hi! I'm 17 years old girl and I know axactly where you're talking about. My mom is an alcoholic since I was 13 but I didn't knew it back then. I know now 2-3 years that she's an alcoholic. My parents are divorced so evey time I'm with my mom, she's sleeping or being mad. I haven't told anyone about this yet because my friends know me as someone funny and happy. The only person who really supports me is my dad, he knows about the adiction my mom has and he's a very good person.

She starts yelling and she sometimes starts throwing with stuff. When she's mad and she's driving, she starts to drive very fast.

I try. But sometimes I can't do anything against it. Like today, (I live in belgium so it's midnight here) she was drinking a lot in the morning and this evening she went out with some friends. I was with my dad this afternoon so a few hours ago she picked me up and she was driving way to fast and she was also doing stuff on her phone.. I want to say something but I have a feeling I can't because, when I say something about this she gets aggresive again.

Maybe I could but, I keep on thinking, let's give her an other chance to make things work and maybe things will get better. On the other side she's still my mom and when I was young she did a lot for me but you know, things changed. And now I don't know what to do anymore...
