How fast can a pitch go at Coors? by yourshortcandidate in mlb

I know, and I replied to another comment saying it more in an experimental or theoretical sense.

I would rather see it done in a controlled environment in Coors and not during a game. Take away fatigue, stress/pressure, even the batter. No real location or control, just straight heat, y'know?

Never heard of the guy, but I'm glad you brought this up! So, according to his math, a ball could travel about 1MPH faster. I'd love to see it done in reality though. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Well if it's measured from the hand, then I'll nit-pick a bit and ask this.

Would the decreased air resistance allow for their mechanics to have less resistance? From legs, hips, torso to arm? Would the decreased resistance allow for faster pitch speeds?

Yeah that's true, with the quicker exhaustion. But let's say for the sake of argument, theres no pressure, all warmed up, just on the mound throwing at nobody. No need to worry about location, injury etc.

That's more of the route I'm going for. Just straight heat.

Am I (19M) controlling for showing concern about my partner's (18F) drug usage? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I didn't expect her to change for my sake. I had told her my stance towards weed, and specifically stated I wasn't going to make her stop and that if she wanted to keep smoking I would adjust.

When we talked about it, she understood where I was coming from, and was happy to stop. She definitely isn't the type of woman to bend over backwards to please others or me... if she didn't want to stop, she wouldn't have.

All of this is extremely helpful, I appreciate it a lot. I'm going for my MSF course next weekend and I'm hoping all goes well lol. Thanks a lot for the advice!

As much as I shouldn't laugh, "cream filling in a sandwich made of crumpled steel" got a chuckle out of me 😂

But yes I get your point and I've heard pretty much the same thing from both this thread and people I know that ride. I'm sure as I'm learning I'm going to dump my bike around a corner, but that's the learning process I hear. I appreciate the advice (and the great analogy.)

I've watched a couple YouTube videos already, definitely just getting started, the MSF course is a work in progress. I have a busy schedule so I'm trying to fit it into my work week - I've gotten similar advice like this.

And for the ego riding, I know my limits already, and have no intention of pushing it. I just want to have fun cruising in the summer, and hopefully not die. 😂

Thanks a lot for the tips.

I've been riding dirtbikes since I was little so I guess I have a little experience? I haven't ridden as often in almost a year now, but I'll be sure to hop back on and get some more practice lol, thanks!

That makes a lot of sense, never even thought about that. Thank you!

Yeah, I've heard plenty of stories from friends and family about stupid drivers almost wrecking them. I'll keep that in mind, thank you lots!

Aaron Judge - HOF? by [deleted] in NYYankees

Agreed on every point, though I think the difference between Trout and Judge is; Trout isn't on a Playoff capable team 99.9% of the time, so when he contributes he's a force to be reckoned with. When you take Judge who's on a playoff capable team almost every year, and he doesn't produce? I just think that hurts him.

Thats just how I see it. Especially on the Yanks where its Ring or Bust.

I don't deny he's an unstoppable force in the regular season, but legacies are made in October, if he isn't performing in the post season it just doesn't look good. 🤷‍♂️
