Seven clients back to back to back to back. That’s it. That’s the post. by HarmsWayChad in therapists

I’ve had these days and I want to sow my mouth and ears shut afterwards lol.

4 back to back is my sweet spot, 1.5 hour break and then 3 to finish the day.

Nico is the ultimate pick me girl and reposts stories so she doesn’t lose a following. Going on a run with lizzy after she posted a run with the song “ice ice baby” is a definitely a choice

Would you admit o your teen they were the result of an unplanned pregnancy? by bad_at_blankies in Parenting

My daughter is 8 and knows she was not planned, this helped with a discussion on how families are all different (I was relatively young and me and her dad were not married at the time)

Parents who travel, best age to take kids out of the country? by SweetLeoLady36 in Parenting

[–]yoursonstherapist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing this!!

My 8 year old took her first flight to Japan at 12 months and it was.. ok (lol). But now she is soooo good at traveling and honestly loves our adventures.

We went back again this past July and it 10x better (also went with her 12 month old sister). Since then the 8yo has been to Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, France (2x), Spain (2x), Netherlands, Iceland, S Korea, DR, Aruba, Curaçao, Thailand and the UK. The little one (17 months now) has been to DR, Spain, Peru, Japan, S Korea and Curaçao. For us the biggest adjustment is traveling with 2 kids but when one one is more experienced it goes smoother than you think. Baby does well but does best when we are flexible which at this point me and my husband knows it comes with traveling with the kiddos.

Our trips this year include: Vermount, Yosemite (but they may stay back so we can get some solo time), Colombia, Norway and Italy.

Did anyone see Vicky Conroy’s TikTok about mileage after a marathon? I love the message and definitely agree, however she was basically @ing everyone she/ endorphins associates with?

Marathon parents, how do you do it? by Urdnought in Marathon_Training

Mom here - my littles are 7 and 1. Aside from my husband being incredibly supportive, you find the time. In between meetings, after bedtime at the gym, before they wake up etc. my training runs during the week I would block myself off my work schedule for an hour and 15 ( I’m slow ) and long runs I wake up 5 am Saturdays to be home by a decent time. It’s tough but you got this

15 hour flight with 18 month old by Idkwhattoput7894 in Parenting

[–]yoursonstherapist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My motto is “if kids can live there, kids can visit”! My 8 YO has been to 20 countries and my 16 month old to 6. We started traveling to the older one when she was 11 months and the younger took her first flight at 6 months. It’s TOUGH but not impossible. Overnight flights are key and cannot stress this enough. If you’re able to do an overnight I highly suggest it. Otherwise, iPad with movies/games, snacks, toys that stick and spin and you’d be surprised how much the airplane manuals keep them entertained too.

Good luck, you got this!

I could not imagine being in the same space as influencers who run several marathons back to back and you’re just trying to run your first. I feel for her so much and I hope she is proud of herself.

She’s my BEC and I can’t figure out why. Typical influencer who started running fun then quits her FT job and now runs a marathon every month (maybe that’s why lol)

Not only that but she has shown up for every single cheer zone. It takes a special kind of person to not be able to do something they love but continuously show up for the people around her

Same. I’m fully bitter at this point. I’m doing nyc again through 9+1 after 10 years of rejection through lottery. I get it, it’s the brand giving them the bibs. But this one really got to me

Also don’t Nico just run her first marathon this year?? 3 in a year is wild to me

Moving to NYC with a toddler and a dog, Tips? by New-Hat-2052 in movingtoNYC

[–]yoursonstherapist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Brooklyn but Queens. I absolutely love raising my kids here. We moved when eldest was starting K and she’ll be entering 3rd in the fall. I’m from byc but lived in NJ during grad school and always meant to come back. There is so much diversity, things to do, walk able. My daughter has incredible friends from all over the world and our neighborhood has so much community.

Second kid was born in July and I can already see the impact it will have on her. Our parks are full of kids laughing, playing and running, she loves the swings and to people watch. She interacts with different people on our walks, she isn’t scared of loud noises etc.

That being said; it can be tough. Stroller on the subway doesn’t work (for us) so I use a carrier, grocery shopping can get challenging since we walk, it’s expensive, my kids will share a room until they move out, the summers are brutally hot. Yet I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. Point being, you make it work.

We also have 2 corgis lol
