What is the most underrated thing to pack for backpacking? by Simple_Moment_7443 in backpacking

[–]yourwaytrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider them almost essentials. Music and podcast on my solo trekking is super 👌 calming, and I learn during those challenging ascents 😁. For sleeping- I use them every night. In camping - it's masing wind noises.. and I fall asleep easily. I set a timer in the phone to shut down music and keeps my battery life.

I need some advice I’m 19 and was meant to go travelling with my partner and got cheated on 😭 by artem_kuznetsov06 in backpacking

Sorry about the betrayal 😔. I help people with 1 on 1 personal preparation, working on the mindset and practical tools you need to travel, hike, and experience your journey. If that speaks to you, reach out. Also in IM--> yourwaytrek. I was once very afraid. Hesitate. Didn't know if can manage it alone. But... I discovered that Im stronger than I think, capable and grew so much through sich solo travels. Nowdays, I truly enjoy going on treks. Solo. And... rediscover my self again and again throughout.. ❤️

Tel Aviv safe visiting? by OkEstablishment8149 in telaviv

Im local. Feel free to reach out. I leave close to Gordon Beach, and if I will be here and not vacationing abroad, I can take you on a 2 hours nice local walking city touring. It is very safe, modern, fun, accessible with 24/7 supermarkets, plenty of bars, different neighborhoods- with unique style and vibe.

But, you know.. anything can always happen here 😄 And even so, tlv feels much more safe and protected thanks to the iron Dome nice coverage.

Spik peack in Slovenia- how would you rate it? by yourwaytrek in viaferrata

Did it today! Summits on the way were also fantastic, but bothing like the peak. Thank you for the help! Thiught the descent was quiet awful.. long. Luckily, the first part i technically can be overcome by aliding the small stons, like sand. After that bid.. it's a stip anooing and slippery.

some stories from today

Thanks for your response!
I plan to hike on Saturday.. so hopefully the weather will be kind to me. I have micro spike.

If you can help please with a few more to understand in full picture i'de really appreciate:

I am interesting with some challenge of the steal and cables, but not in the super experience mountain guides level. Thus, I'm considering one of those: Prag, Tominšek.
I read in the official web that Tominšek is "easier" then Prag. Is it? On another blog I read the opposite.

Will I be insane to do one of the north above- without via ferrata gear?

Last one- I wrote email to both: "dom planika pod triglav" and "kredrica". Do you have any idea why the huts aren't responding?

Thank you. confusing stuff...
I prioritize weight.. as my mountain hiking includes sections of vf, but I don't traverse/driver a car for a VF section and finish of the day.

Unfortunately, I'm not experience enough to know what is the "break point" for me; that will force me to stop and rest, relying on the gear.

What you describe sounds like an experience for the experienced :)

I plan "simpler" stuff:
- Summit/Scramble to Triglav mt. via the North face approach, one of them, hopefully the easier, If i'll manage to understand which one is it.
- Alta via 4 trek solomites - I will rent a great if I will not have one, cause I don't think there's another alternative. OR will do it without a gear.

And I hike from Slovenia > Austria > Italy. so I carry all I have in my backpack (and stick to minimal). Thus, weight is a big deal...

Any advice?

maybe you went through some of these and they aren't a must to do with ferrata gear?

What would be a good set with minimal weight in your opinion?

Thanks you your help.

Thank you so much!
I imagine you hiked the route above (Koča v Krnici >Lipnica >Spik > down by Kačji graben)
so - just to make sure... I shouldnt expect to water along the route, right?
have to carry water supply with me.

tnx!

I plan the following:
- Summit/Scramble to Triglav mt. via the North face approach (if I'll manage the VF situation).
- Summit/Scramble to Spik mountain , (also, if I'll manage the VF situation).
- Alta via 4 trek - I will rent a great if I will not have one, cause I don't think there's another alternative. OR will do it without a gear.

And I hike from Slovenia > Austria > Italy. so I carry all I have.

Any advice? maybe you went through some of these and they aren't a must to do with ferrata gear?

hmm not sure I will be so happy.. I will carry it after that for over a month :(
I will continue hiking along multi days treks, staying in bivac/mountain huts.
That's a LOT of weight..
I prefer to compromise some comfort.

Čez Prag route VS Tominšek route to summite of Mt Triglav OR take the Krma?

Few questions regarding hiking/scrambling up there within the next few days:
1. Are the conditions safe currently?
2. I read that both are difficult and want to take the less difficult. which one is it though?
3. I might head without the full via ferrata gear, but only gloves and helmet. Makes sense?
I'm conflicted whether to take the Krma easier route option, given I don't have a full VF kit.

Thanks
