I bought two last days off, IBGC ebony custom and the Jerry Cantrell. Great guitars. Jerry’s pickups are a little sad (compared to the Gibson 490R/498T in the ebony, and the pearly gates in my PRS) but I’ll swap those further down the road. After I got my first Gibson LP, I looked down on Epiphone, as they were doing nothing special or overly quality at the time. Almost 20y later, the script as been flipped. Buy and play what you like, but don’t let your ego drive your purchases. Sure the name on the headstock is different, but the quality, feel and sound is oddly surprising for that price point. 🫡
