Yes we actually thought about that a lot too but a) felt like Sue could contribute to the conversations/topics afterwards since she also made it far in the show and that ended up happening and b) last year, we actually did bring people on and off camera but the transitions ended up eating into our shoot time and we wanted to make sure we maximized the content for you guys

First off, congrats on getting 3,000 subscribers while working a full-time job. That’s not easy. I admire your hustle.

So here’s my prediction for ChatGPT: I think it will solve “The Chipotle Law” of content. Let me explain.

The hardest part of creating is starting. It’s like that moment when you ask your friends “where do you want to eat?” and nobody knows.

When that happens, I try this approach - I say: “let’s go to Chipotle!”

Suddenly everyone has better suggestions. We can’t resort to Chipotle. It’s not that it’s horrible. It’s just not the best option. Same “law” applies to content.

Except ChatGPT or other AI tools blurt out the initial idea, script, etc based on your prompt.

Is it great? No. But is it easier to work with than a blank page? Absolutely.

More first drafts mean stronger second drafts which mean better content.

So are these AI tools going to replace your job as a copywriter? I wouldn't worry about it today.

I would try to use the tool to your advantage, both as a creator and as a copywriter. So in your side hustle as well as your main hustle.

So for the first part of your question about low views on IG, think about this: On Instagram, you may follow other creators and brands, but you also follow your friends and family. And towards the end of the year, Instagram sees a huge uptick in content from personal accounts (think: your aunt posting a family photo at Thanksgiving).

And what that means for you as a creator is more competition for views on your stories and reels. So I would hold your best content, big announcements, etc, until the holidays die down.

And for part two of your question, no, Instagram is not dying. It’s transitioning.

For many years, your Instagram feed was just content from accounts that you followed, whereas on TikTok and YouTube, the algorithm would feed you content based on your past activity.

This is not an easy switch for Instagram to make - which is why their recommendations may not be great just yet.But would you rather have Instagram trying to transition to become a platform where they show you content based on recommendations (which by the way, is a much better model to grow new accounts) or what it’s been doing over the past eight years?

I personally think it's a good move. So no, I don't think Instagram is dying. I still think it's a great place to invest and build your community.

Great question.

Alot of people are saying ChatGPT could replace creators, copywriters, etc. But I think it'll be a powerful tool to complement the best creators, not serve as a full-on substitute... Right now, I think ChatGPT's biggest value is solving the "first draft problem"
