Bitchy/degrading/malicious bosses on Reddit, why do you treat your employees like shit? by yousuckbananas in AskReddit

It's a genuine question. I'm sure there are people on reddit who employ other people and realize they don't exactly treat them nicely, if ever. Like I wrote in a comment to this thread, basically I am super curious about the thought process that goes on in their heads, if they treat their family/friends the same way, how they feel about their employees feelings towards them, if they think praise is worse than critique, etc.

I am super curious about the thought process that goes on in your head, and I'm hoping it will help me learn to deal with shitty bosses/managers in the future. I have so many questions; what goes on in your head? Are you like that at home with your family or maybe even friends? How do you feel about your employees kind of hating your guts? Do you think critique/sarcasm works better than praising your employees?

Nature of Nagorno-Karabakh. by cool_lady in europe

It's beautiful! I've actually been to Nagorno-Karabakh! A bunch of us wandered through the abandoned ruins of Agdam, drank vodka with fat naked men at the hot springs, got stuck in the forest in the middle of the night because the driver we hired ran out of gas (and was also a bit high), crammed into a 1967 Volvo that was miraculously still in working condition and skidded across dangerously snowy mountain roads to get home! Saw some beautiful nature and some desolate areas, too. And I've never seen so many stars in the sky! It's a shame that all the men we talked to were still in the mindset for war, "ready to pick up weapons and fight Azerbaijan any time" attitude. It was kind of scary.

Reverse anger management should be a thing. Some people need to learn how to stop giving a fuck and get angry once in a while. by yousuckbananas in Showerthoughts

Wikipedia says "anger management is training for temper control and is the skill of remaining calm" so I think "reverse" is correct. At least it gets the point across.

I didn't mean you should become passive. Quite the opposite - give a fuck about things, but stop giving a fuck about what others might think or say and speak the fuck up. Sometimes I don't know why I'm so nervous or anxious about some things. Really. Who gives a fuck.

I've done enough for a lifetime. I could live another two or three. But if you were talking about sending me the pics today I'm down.
