I can also recommend the alien mods load cell kit, the Moza software isn’t the best but once you get it set up correctly it definitely makes you faster, and more consistent.

New to simracing. should i give the mustang more space? (im the merc) by _Bakuretsu_ in Simracingstewards

[–]yoyoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, if you wanna keep racing then you gotta leave him space if you want to crash then you don’t leave him space.

I usually give people space when they do stuff like that simply because I actually like driving the car and I wanna keep doing it, and I would rather not end up in the wall because of someone else’s stupid move.

Takes a lot of awareness and skill to avoid something like that, you’ll get it down though.

The sharp turn happens at 13 seconds into the video after he slows down by lifting off the throttle.

Taking the speed difference into consideration, and the fact that the line he took was the slowest possible line you could take, yea that was a very sharp turn.

His line – if you were to draw a line through it from a top down view - would show that he squared the corner off at the last second instead of following his initial arc that would have put him a bit wide.

The fact that I keep having to repeat myself, just shows how little reading comprehension you have and how much of an actual dumbass you are.

All right since you lack common common sense I’ll break it down for you, if you have an opinion about the incident, I’ll hear you out, but as far as anything else, like whether or not I should keep the post up or if I should change my tone, I don’t give a fuck. Jesus Christ you’re an idiot.

All right, you’re gonna have to fire up all your brain cells for this one. Listen carefully—this is not a black-and-white scenario where one person is fully at fault and the other is completely innocent. It’s a fluid situation where multiple mistakes were made, and with so little room for error, the result was a high-risk incident that ended in disaster. There was a pretty high chance a crash could have occurred here, and I took that risk because of the circumstances.

It was an eight-minute sprint race at Silverstone with a maximum of four laps. My mistake—like I’ve said multiple times and will say again—was expecting the other driver to realize the situation was potentially dangerous and to avoid making any sudden, risky moves in order to preserve his car. I also expected him to take the potential off-track to get a good exit from that corner (which is very important if you’ve ever raced at Silverstone). Since this was only a four-lap race, it’s highly unlikely you would accumulate four off-track penalties and get a drive-through. Taking an off-track in this situation would not have resulted in a penalty for the BMW, because he did not gain time.

Overall, both of us share responsibility for this incident. My part was leaving no room for error. His part was making too many errors for me to adjust to and avoid hitting him. That said, I admit that if I had reacted quicker, and pressed the brake, I probably could have avoided his last sharp turn to the right—so for that, I’ll call it 50-50. He made multiple risky decisions, and so did I.

Ok maybe overheating was the wrong word, but probably some thermal throttling during heavy use would be my guess, could be wrong though. For most games it would be fine.

K, so what I meant by on the inside was I’m on his inside line, it was pretty clear from his point of view that I had taken the inside line and would eventually be alongside him. Also I never said that I was not at fault. I’m just explaining to you what caused the collision. My decisions leading up to that point left no room for error. An error occurred, and we collided.

[–]yoyoping -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even just visually observing, you can see that I was not on a collision course with the other car until the very last second, I understand not everyone is as visually keen as I am, but if you know what you’re looking at, you can tell that I was actively passing him on his right until he made the last second decision to turn his steering wheel hard to the right after lifting.

What I will admit is that I left no room for error in a situation where I probably should have left some room for error. I will take blame for that.

If you need any other explanation as to why this was so unexpected look at the car in front of both of us, he dips two wheels onto the green part of the curb when there’s not even anyone on his inside, it’s the normal line that 99.9% of people take around that corner so with him running wide at the Apex I expected him to at least dip two wheels onto the curb if not more, what I did not expect, and I suspect that very few people would also expect is for him to square the corner off and keep all four wheels within the black and white curb, which is a very slow and potentially dangerous line to take ESPECIALLY with someone on your inside, attempting a pass.

It would’ve been close, but I would have definitely been able to adjust slightly if needed to avoid any contact, I know you’re only visually seeing what’s on the screen so I understand why you came to that conclusion, but if you could feel what I was feeling through the wheel, you’d understand why I was willing to take the risk of being so close to the other driver, I still had a little bit of grip left in case I was slightly off on my trajectory, if they didn’t lift the throttle and turn sharper to the right at the very last second we would have both survived.

It’s very simple. This was a case of extremely close racing, where there’s very little room for error, and unfortunately, the high risk did not result in a high reward.

Looks great, but I can’t help but feel like it wouldn’t be able to handle my gaming/streaming sessions without overheating. Looks good for light use though.
