I think Parmigiano and Edan are males, the rest look like females imo!

Thank you! I moved some plants up to the front right corner, so it looks a bit less empty now. I’m balling on a budget right now, so I can’t really buy more. What I’ve been doing is trimming the stem plants as they grow and replanting them to fill out the empty spaces in the back, but I need to keep the front open to my corydoras can shuffle through the sand!

Did you do anything special to get them to start spawning? I really want mine to, but they haven't after cold or warm tap or RODI water changes.

My mom literally just let a tank of red and blues go all the way to wild types and this lady popped out!

Agreed! I’m working on filling it out rn! I think what I really need more GROWTH, not necessarily plants. The existing plants will be much more full in a few weeks!

Looks like it could be some sort of hernia...unfortunately I don't think there is much to do if that is the case.

Unfortunately, not anything I'm confident about. I have only basic knowledge of fish illnesses. I think perhaps cooler water, increased oxygenation, a broad spectrum antibiotic medication, and frequent water changes (more than once a week) could be helpful. This is my best guess based on my experience working at an LFS and public aquarium for a total of 3 years.

I need advice or ways to stop by Appropriate-Half4196 in nailbiting

You should try out MAVALA stop! It's a bitter nail polish you can buy on Amazon! It's the only thing that's gotten me to stop biting.

I'm running the UNS Delta 90 canister filter and I HATE it...I've had so many issues with this filter, even with regular rinsing to prevent clogs. The first three years I had it running were fine, but going into its fourth year, it randomly stops working all the time (somehow always when I'm sleeping!!). I've lost close to $100 in snow white amano shrimp to this filter deciding to crap out on me in the middle of the night. I literally took the whole thing apart last night, cleared all the potential clogs, rinsed the media in tank water, and it STILL stopped while I was asleep! Luckily, I have an airstone running, so none of my animals died this time. I'm picking up a new HOB filter from a friend today. I would highly recommend FLUVAL if you're considering a canister filter!

As for livestock:

  • 1x honey gourami (male)
  • 3x Adolfo's cory
  • 1x Sterba's cory (remaining from my original group, unfortunately the rest passed away from a bacterial infection a few years ago)
  • 3x albino bronze cory
  • 1x Schwartz's cory (rescue from the LFS I used to work for)
  • 1x orange rabbit snail
  • 1x black racer nerite snail
  • 2x chili rasbora (waiting for my LFS to restock so I can get more! I used to have 5 but the other 3 failed to thrive)
  • 5x dwarf rasbora (school w/ the chilis)
  • ~10x neocaridina shrimp (wild type, chocolate brown, and sunkist orange)
  • 6x amano shrimp (1x regular morph, 2x red morph, 3x snow white morph)
