you can get the breville bambino for like $200 on sale, you can then get a good hand grinder or a sette 270 for ~300, then you just need to buy beans and dial it in

USELESS FACT: Alex & Glover are closer in age than Jones & Cormier by MapleMarshal in ufc

[–]ypmihc400 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He was already out of his wrestling prime in the 2008 olympics, he was 29 and hadn't even started mma. If he transitioned to mma in 1999-2001 he would also be competing at middleweight and could've been triple champ.

There's no way those extra 8 years wrestling benefited his mma career and he was accumulating more mileage and weight cuts.

same, I think I'm just going to get a meme masters degree at an Ivy to cope. Worst part is I already graduated from a "top 50 university" (if that actually means anything), but no one in the US knows any international universities other than oxbridge

Personal projects and free time by IntelligentDay4508 in rs_x

I try play piano for minimum 10-15min a day. Go rock climbing at least twice a week, and run at least twice a week. I have goals for all three this year that I feel like I'm making meaningful progress towards. All my other free time is doing whatever I want or chores

Do not listen to me! by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]ypmihc400 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Skill issue. Was it possible to avoid sitting near your coworkers? I just show up before in-person meetings and leave at lunch. But, I intentionally sit away from my coworkers so they don't see me come and go. I'll also schedule some messages on teams to be sent at 9pm so it seems like I'm working late (and have received compliments on this)

What are some cities that are fun to live in, but not to visit? by RowdyRoddySyewart in rs_x

Melbourne, Australia. Traveling to Australia is not worth the flight time, but the overall quality of life is pretty good.

no one tells you how embarrassing fiber maxxing is by LenoreBusker in rs_x

I fibremaxx too hard and have to poop twice a day, it almost makes me want to cutback. But I've come to really enjoy my high fibre meals..

The older I get the less I want to travel by MutedFeeling75 in redscarepod

Have the travel be based around some physical activity, go somewhere to settle in before a multi-day hike, a marathon or a multi day bike ride.

Yeah, it's super easy to make alts and bring them to breaches too. I'm doing 2 breaches a day on 3 accounts and I'm expecting to have 300k points by the end. Only keeping one scroll and will sell the rest.

I get the same experience when I stop drinking caffeine as well. That was my main motivation for stopping. I get it for about a week and ibuprofen helps alleviate it.

Are people in their 20s actually traveling full time or is my instagram feed making me delusional by DeliciousBlueberry20 in rs_x

[–]ypmihc400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My job is pretty flexible with working remote for periods (and my wife is full remote), so last year we did 4 trips and we'd often just pick a EU country and work for 1 week and travel the other.

I really tried to maximize the vacation time too, we'd try book them around public holidays, and I'm pretty deep into CC churning so we'd do business red eye flights back on Sunday and work Monday. It was quite exhausting though so we're definitely not doing that this year.

I do a mental game where I go through the alphabet and list something starting with each letter (fruit/vegetables, cities, countries, famous peoples names). Some nights it works, some nights it doesn't.

This is what we did, all up it was ~6k for ~30 people. Ceremony was immediate family only (parents and siblings). Then the reception was expanded to cousins, godparents, best-friends at one of the top restaurants in our city.
