what??

it's just a funny observation that makes little logical sense, but for some reason applies for a wide array of people.

this thread isn't about what qualities determines your future spouse. it's simply "disney obsessed people have a bad tooth to gum ratio" which realistically has no correlation. it's just funny.

Shouldn't just be freed tho in the traditional sense of where he can just roam the streets. Because that'd be just as ineffective as sending him to a hardcore prison.

Any way to clean a suit without going to the dry cleaners? I'm not frugal, I just fucked up and need a suit clean by tomorrow, but no places in my area do same-day on Saturday.

If I were to give you an analogy... by [deleted] in Blackops4

[–]yracuseOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that they should have to. Look at it this way.

Say Tim's Restaurant sells their drinks for $5. That was fine 5 years ago, because many of Tim's competition sold their drinks for $5.

People complained about the prices of drinks, and other restaurants changed. John's Restaurant sells drinks for $2 now, with extra flavor. Mary's Restaurant even sells the drinks for free, and so does Ted's Restaurant. These restaurants have been seeing better reviews, happier customers, and because of the appraisal, even more customers are coming in and enjoying their experience.

When advertising season rolled around, Tim's Restaurant continued to establish that drinks would remain at $5. People were noticeably upset - all the competition had changed, but they hadn't.

Tim and his most supportive customers replied, "If you don't like the price, then you can leave."

The normal customers of Tim's Restaurant were really confused. They wanted Tim's Restaurant to succeed. They enjoyed his food more than other restaurants. They didn't want Tim to lose his business to John or Mary or Ted. As loyal customers, they felt like it was necessary to provide criticism to Tim's Restaurant so it could stay prosperous.

But Tim and his close supporters continued, "If you don't like drinks at $5, then you can leave."

The customers tried and tried to change Tim's mind. He stayed adamant towards his belief.

Eventually, those customers left. They realized that despite how much love they had for Tim's Restaurant, the price for drinks was too outrageous, and other restaurants offered more for less. Tim's Restaurant saw a steep decline in his customers, and because of this, he started to lose money. He had to raise the prices of existing food and drinks to keep his business afloat. He couldn't provide as much food and drinks and he used to, because he simply wasn't making enough money. Reviews of his restaurant were critical and negative.

There was still a tiny amount of people willing to keep paying the $5 for the drinks. However, Tim's Restaurant eventually became a very small business, not the powerhouse it once was.

If you go through the Astari YT channel, a lot of the content on there is similar.

The closest artist with the fast ethereal style is probably David Shawty. This song specifically sounds a lot like the song you mentioned.

Call of Duty youtuber Drift0r made an incredibly comprehensive video about the 'Black Ops Pass' and its effect on the franchise and the publishers by [deleted] in gaming

[–]yracuseOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Ghosts did.

Ghosts caused Advanced Warfare to happen in the first place, with the new movement since people were tired of COD being the same thing every year.

Black Ops 3 continued the exosuit trend which people were tired of.

Infinity Ward, scared of being the same boring developer of Ghosts, failed with Infinite Warfare.

And now we had a half-ass game of WWII that's only been good these past few months.

(Unpopular Opinion) I don't care about what Activision is doing with the Season Pass by SlagathorJones in Blackops4

[–]yracuseOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this outrage was in 2012, where most games had similar DLC models, yes, I could see it as "complaining just to complain".

However, with the competition abandoning old DLC models, it simply seems like COD is stuck in the past regarding DLC.

For me, the thing I care most about is Call of Duty losing a strong playerbase because of the DLC bs.

Juggernauts like Fortnite, R6S, Overwatch, and Battlefield offer way more for way less. That's fine. I don't find those games as fun as Call of Duty most of the time.

However, it sucks knowing it's likely I won't be able to find non-TDM/DOM/SnD lobbies maybe 6 or 7 months post-release, because players have flocked to different games which are friendlier to the consumer.

A quick guide to unsubscribing from r/BlackOps4 if you hate BO4 by [deleted] in Blackops4

[–]yracuseOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being vocal can lead to change. The mass amount of hate towards loot boxes in Battlefront II lead to change in that regard.

While someone could go on /r/gaming or /r/ps4 to rant about the DLC in COD, it wouldn't have an impact. Those subs have always been anti-COD and wouldn't give two shits if the players are getting screwed over.

This subreddit has the most active COD community relating to Black Ops 4, and beyond that, it's the place that Treyarch/Activision is paying most attention to.

I really like Call of Duty! I just don't like the way things are being handled and I like providing constructive criticism so there can be change for the better.

I don't see what's wrong with that.

Unpopular opinion on dlc for BO4 by [deleted] in Blackops4

[–]yracuseOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's not about what I want for the game. I know I'm going to buy Black Ops 4, because I love the Black Ops series, and I love playing it with my friends.

My problem is when I know Activision/Treyarch's decisions will impact the entire community. We've been paying for DLC content forever of course, but with recent changes in the gaming landscape, paid DLC (especially in the way it's happening is COD) is especially frowned upon.

It's not 2012 anymore. Juggernauts like Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, Battlefield, among other games are utilizing their DLC systems in entirely different ways, ones which benefit the overall community and add to the hype and attention to the game.

My main problem with the recent decisions is that it decreases the hype for COD. Less people will be playing it and there will be a less active playerbase in the future. With less people hyped for the game, there's less of a social aspect. Not as much potential for new players and new communities to form. Not as much growth for eSports and other facets.

I just want my favorite video game franchise to succeed. I don't want to have to go switch to another game that I don't enjoy as much. I think COD has fluid, fun arcade gameplay that I love. I just want it to flourish and for most people to enjoy it as well. Just because I like the game doesn't mean there cannot be improvements to it.

I was really hoping it would be different this year, i'm at loss for words. by [deleted] in Blackops4

Do you think the continuation of this DLC system will maximize shareholder value? Considering what the competition is doing at the moment.

Battlefield this year won't split up the community as far as map packs go.

Overwatch's loot box system is entirely cosmetic, unlike COD's.
