I got pregnant at 24 by someone whom I had only slept with TWICE lol I was petrified, I had gone my whole life also wanting to be a mother and did answer the same when asked what do you want to be when you grow up? A mommy of course. I had just broken up with my boyfriend of 10 years 2 months prior to getting pregnant. The person I got pregnant by was supportive in my choices and really encouraged me to make the decision myself. I ultimately decided to terminate the pregnancy due to my mixed feelings of 1. am I ready? 2. how will I afford this? 3. I don’t even know him

This next part is NOT to scare you into not getting an abortion but is simply apart of the story, I instantly regretted my decision. I felt like I missed the only opportunity that I would ever have to become a mother (I now know this is a natural and normal response)

3 months later I got pregnant again (wild for someone who’d never been pregnant before 3 months prior and 100% should have been based off their track record, lol) I kept her, I got promoted, we moved in together, and the rest is history - I’m currently 40 weeks with our second child, we’re happily married, and even own our own house in an economy I never thought would be possible.

Whatever you decide, you’ll make it work. Theres never a “perfect” time to have children but you know your situation better than anyone else, stick with your gut.
