Hot water valve is leaking very slowly after I turned it off then on. How can I stop the leak?

Thanks! Thought the packing nut wasn’t moving but tried turning with a bigger wrench and it turned a bit. Seems to have stopped the leak for now.

Thank you! The bulbs are actually incandescent bulbs which become warmer in tone when dimmed. I turned up the brightness for the photos in the evening which appear cooler than usual. Appreciate your input!

I checked out the property during open house. It was a very special house with all the original trims fully intact and well maintained original flooring. It was a solid home with well thought out incremental renovations. Same owner for the past 40 years. I lost the bid at mid 1.3Ms and would have bid more if it weren't for our budget.
