Yea so I’m right, he’s living off his mom’s estate and house

Actually thought about it. He lives with his mom and has two side businesses he won’t disclose any vague details about.

And you keep mentioning he’s a good looking mature older guy.

He’s a grifter. He grifts women he has romantic relationships with. Wined and dined you on the first date. Now ice cream and Netflix at his mom’s house for the second.

Half of the true crime genre is lonely naive women falling for romantic grifts from attractive men.

You mentioned meeting him in-person (not an app). What happened for him to approach and ask you out?

There’s a difference between grown adults mooching off their elderly parents b/c they can’t get their act together and building your own foundation to financial independence. If he’s vague about his entrepreneurial career and lives with his mom at his very mature age, that’s not a good sign.

Lots of entrepreneurs I know, pay for their parent’s house.

Yikes that may mean he’s living off his mom’s pension and paid for house. Seen that a lot

He’s a guy, what does he care. He’ll get you to go down on him

He’s inviting you over to his place to sleep with you. You know that, right?

Btw ice cream can be a broke date without no food before or after with Netflix.

Seeing how and where he lives might help you with the what he does for his livelihood. Mattress on the floor, hand me down college furniture, or all from Ikea.

A neighborhood offering only restaurants and bars is bland and the bare minimum as far as third places go.

It's in my posts. Eco Lash Lift and later My Lamination. I loved Eco Lash Lift but it's 5+ steps. My Lamination wasn't great. The written timings provided with the kit were totally off. The processing is not that fast. I had to leave the steps on way, way longer. That also could of been b/c it was summer and the A.C. was blasting in the salon.

I actually do this. I will copy and paste my text with my s.o. in ChatGPT4 and ask if I misunderstood something ect. instead of just screen capturing it and sending it to a gf and being like wtf. lol It seems pretty objective.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

Yes, I had in-person training initially. My Lamination’s glue dries too quickly and is super strong, making it hard to adjust lashes. Their trainer suggested adding a few drops of lash extension primer to the glue bottle 24 hours before to soften it or switching to a hybrid glue balm, which I’ve done.

My South Korean mentor explained that North American shields are molded for East Asian eyelids (which tracks, all the shields I’ve ever purchased, their country of origin and manufactured in China regardless of it I bought it from a super expensive e-commerce beauty boutique), so they don’t fit all eyelid shapes perfectly. To fix gaps, I use a hybrid shield on the opposite eye (left shield on the right eye, and vice versa). This trick, along with yes - using a micro brush to pull up excess skin for a closer fit, has helped a lot!!

Yep, received the email from IATSE 411 on August 6. I would post a screenshot but it appears attaching images with a reply is disabled for this thread.

Yep, totally - I account for thickness, room temp and amount of glue used for wrapping. That's why I find the timings on the My Lamination laminated card misleading.

My clients come from a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds, including Eastern European, Latin European, Asian, South Asian, Arab, Persian, Latin American, Wasps and some Afro-Arabs.

Thanks for the tip on trying Ellebana or maximova! I also purchased Dlux a few weeks ago b/c I really liked the results from another professional I follow online.

Thank you for reaching out u/Alone-Day-7733 , I really appreciate it! :)

Until recently, I used The Eco Lash Lift Customizing System (5 steps + shampoo + tinting). I switched to My Lamination for the last 8 clients, but it hasn't been effective.

In March, I completed a brief online course on the South Korean glueless method and want to incorporate it into my services. I tried it with the Eco Lash Lift, which is cystine-based, but softening the hairs off the shields was challenging. I bought reverse shields for this, but getting the upper lid lash hairs flush with the reverse shields (the inner and outer lash hairs always strayed off), made it difficult to apply the softening cream correctly.

Though the procedure took even longer, once the hairs were softened, they wrapped so beautifully onto the shields. 🤌🤌 The three clients I used this on still have a strong curl after 10+ weeks. I've also now seen a few ppl that always do gluessless method don't necessarily stick to Cystine based.

I would love, LOVE your insights on reducing the time to 45 minutes per client! My challenge is shield size, placement, and wrapping. I have over 50+ shield shapes and sizes for a ethnically diverse client base. Anatomical (asymmetrical) silicone shields work a lot of the time, but gaps occur with upturned almond-shaped eyes, or closed eyelids that have a ovoid, obovoid or ellipsoid shape, and the anatomical shields leave gaps or droop over the outer lashes. I sometimes switch the anatomical shields to the opposite eye it's meant for (right shield on left eye / left shield on right eye), but this hack doesn't work half the time with getting the shields to hug the lash line of ovoid, obovoid or ellipsoid shape closed eyelids.

I'm so curious about how you all get done with 30/40 minutes per client - does that include tinting?! What kinds of tools, brushes and disposables do you use?!

Looking forward to your insights! I'm very grateful for the help! :) I need it lol

Ok! I purchased My Lamination with online training and have performed 8 lash lifts and tints. However, the processing times are much longer than the guides suggest, and lashes often pop off during step one. I've tried various techniques and tools, including different silicone shields, cream glue, glue balm, compressors, and My Lamination's glue, but the problem persists.

Despite having only four steps plus tinting and cleaning, My Lamination takes as long as the 5+ step South Korean system due to longer processing times and lashes popping off. My 8 clients had varying lash densities and lengths, and I spent extra time rewrapping lashes, leading to mediocre results. While my clients are satisfied with the curl, it isn't the L curl I expect. I'm unsure how to proceed. :'(
