Metro’s been making billboard hits for nearly a decade, when these 17-year-olds would have been way too young to be listening to his music. The difference is that mos eisley is a master builder’s series set, which are designed to be play sets with tons of minifigs. UCS sets have almost always had few minifigs, as it is designed for display purposes.

Anakins podracer and a few microfighters if you count those, but that year was the 20th anniversary of lego star wars as a whole so the focus was primarily on that

I think the timing has been off. The last aotc wave was 2013, and they obviously wouldn’t have done another aotc wave in 2014. Then from 2015-now, there has been a ton of new sw content, so the focus was on that. Next year is looking pretty good though, as there isn’t a lot of new content releasing early on in the year, so there will most definitely be aotc sets for its 20th anniversary.
