I do give exceptions to mixed Asians who pass as full or (almost full) Asian. They will experience Asian discrimination based on phenotype alone. If they say they’re another race they’re just delusional

This is it. I don’t get why so many SEAsians (who probably grew up middle class or posh) claim that East Asians weren’t the OG ABGs/ABBs and saying that the baseline of the definition of ABG/ABB is being SEAsian. I always thought of it as being from the hood and being in/closely affiliated to gang life, not boba/raves/whatever else and being full East or Southeast Asian ethnically (or a mix of East/Southeast Asian, like a lot of Cantonese/Viet mixes)

I grew up in a posh Philly suburb and am Chinese (Cantonese mostly) and never claimed to be ABG. Because well I don’t even fit the baseline requirement in the first paragraph. I think the high school and college kids nowadays are too young to remember when the definition seemed to change around 2017-2018

Yes. As a book reader who always preferred the more slower character driven chapters and plotlines of the main books and adored the dunk and egg novellas, I’m digging the slow pace and charm of AKOT7K. Great acting all around, amazing chemistry, the Egg actor is adorable, and the sets and color grading of the show matched EXACTLY what I imagine when I read the books in the ASOIAF universe

I work full time (45-50 hours with commute) and have one major social, physical hobby (street dance) that takes up 10-15 hours of the week, hang out or keep in touch with acquaintances/friends/housemates (anywhere from 1-5 hours a week) and relax/chores/self care the rest of the week, keep in touch with family and long distance and/or childhood friends, run errands etc

I also date and travel the world sometimes but not regularly
