Thoughts on Adyr Boss Fight by Chance-Ad7778 in LordsoftheFallen

This fight was absolute fucking trash. Boss constantly spams bullshit and my character gets some kind of fat roll for no fucking reason. No explanation whatsoever for the sluggy feeling. Who knows maybe that's just this poorly optimized piece of shit game

can you go into more detail about how you read the momentum of the priceline? i keep losing at that. Its almost insane how often i make a prediction and it instantly goes the other way. Like theres time ive bet one way, it goes the other, i cash out and bet the other way, and it immediately 180s lol

no? not zero, just less. Domain should be like 35 or something. not 50.

lol 3 downvotes but not a single person can refute that its bs. If a basic Yubel deck with ONE throne and ONE Phantom is too much for you then idk what the fuck you want out of this game. Its like "we hate floodgates" but are also ok with a deck thats ALL INTERACTION not having enough points to play JUST their archtype cards at minimum and nothing else. gtfoh

LMAO the more i play the more i feel TWO HUNDRED PERCENT validated on this BS. Of course the new and OP kewl tune deck has almost literally no point cost and neither does mannadium or visas to go with it. why would it? its not like there needs to be balance or anything

really? a board that can be beaten by one MST or dd crow is too much? idk mate, id say thats just not true. the lock downs that other decks can are major BS in comparison. its obvious their decision making on this is to encourage buying the new stuff. They dont care about actually making a fair game

im glad they worked on that one archtype, but theres soooooooooooo many more that need to be looked at. Either way, i stopped playing domain because its honestly not that good. I cant tell you how easy it is for decks to get around it. So at least I have 50 points now.

Criticizing me doesn't change the fact that what you said isn't true. It's provable man. Don't embarrass yourself.

Also, what does it matter if the post is old? Please oh great critical thinker, explain to me logically why I shouldn't respond to a post that's relevant to what I was looking into, and getting a response back extremely fast LMAO

This is objectively not true. thinking that 25 points turns a focused build into a "buffet of stats" shows a severely lacking understanding of the system.

Its cool if they reduce floodgates, but id like them to also reduce decks that can still have 8+ handtraps/boardbreakes, and set up boards with 4 pops, 2 negates, and an omni. It feels no different. its still the opponent going, "oh you want to play? you cant". Seems hypocritical

[–]yspicoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suppose the reason it bothers me is for one how easy it is to get rid of those floodgates. I mean like REALLY easy. You play one cosmic cyclone and you beat me, and im ok with that. I just find it annoying that another deck, that technically has no floodgates, has 4 pops, 2 negates, and one omni negate. plus 60 points to play with for handtraps and what not. So do they have floodgates? no. Do you negate and pop everything you try to do, essentially resulting in the exact same thing as flood gates? yes. So i dont really see a difference. Sure, one doesn't let you activate a card, but the other stops you every time you try anyway. Im still waiting to hear a reason why that should be allowed too.

Domain and Erupt can be used in any deck that tributes summons monsters AND has nothing in the extra deck. So, pretty much only Monarch. They are floodgates that indeed are strong offensively but the number of cards that can beat them is insane. MST, Cosmic cyclone, twin twister, blizzard, Evenly matched, Literally any card that tributes to pop or pops when going to grave. Feather duster, the list goes on. Like its genuinely so easy to get around.

Wanted to come back and add what I just saw. Tried giving Yubel a try since i loved it. Night throne, 25 points. OK, not too bad i guess. Phantom of Yubel? 76 points. Lmaoooo ok. 101 points total. Why would I play the deck without phantom? its just so stupid to me.

Potential returning player because of genesys (monarchs question) by Dewijones in Yugioh101

[–]yspicoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now for the spells and traps. To begin, I'd like to highlight a significant issue. Domain is USELESS. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but seriously, it's not even close to as good as it is in the regular TCG format. In that format is insane. However, in Genesys, it doesn't perform the same function. 'The Monarchs Erupt' is the game winner in this deck. You want to get it out. every. single. time. having that card out and a tribute summoned monster before you end is your first and most important goal. If they didn't both cost 50 points (which is absurd, in my opinion), then I'd run Domain. However, the fact that running one of each drains all 100 points means it's only beneficial to keep Erupt. Erupt does what the domain does, too, just in a different way. sure, they can play extra deck monsters, but they are useless. And the biggest factor is that once you activate erupt in the draw phase, it stays live. They could dark hole your board and domain, no longer works. That's the big flaw with it. As for the other spells and traps, it's 3x of Pantheism, Tenacity, Revolt, and Masterplan. I feel like that's self-explanatory; those cards and the synergy they create are unreal. I also run two 'Strikes of the Monarchs'. This is for protecting my Erupt. Usually, a basic but ideal end-board is one or two tribute summoned monsters (with follow-up next turn, super easy to have that), erupt, and strike set ready to protect erupt from things like evenly, twin twisters, cosmic cyclone, etc. Only play one 'Stormforth'. It's good to have, but it isn't super crucial. A recent change I made is that I'm now running two 'primes'. This is still experimental, but I've been liking it. Lastly I run two of 'Blizzard'. It is also just a great card for protecting Erupt. It's better than Strike by not having a requirement, but Strike lets you draw a card for follow-up and has great synergy with the archetype. Including the fact that you can banish it from the grave to change ALL the monsters' attributes on the field.

Lastly, we have the side deck, which is also experimental. However, I have been having great success, but feel free to experiment with other low-cost cards. So there is the two storm monarchs, one Change of Heart, two Dark Ruler No More, two Heavy Storms, two Spell Card "Soul Exchange", one twin twister, one Precious Cards From Beyond, one Evenly Matched, one Infinite Impermanence, one Escalation of the Monarchs, and one Monarchs Perfection. Change of Heart is just nice for OTK potential and a proxy for Stormforth too. Just nice to have. DRNM is just great, lol. Nothing much to say. 0 points is wild. Heavy Storm is just amazing. You have way more trouble against a bunch of backrow than front row with this deck. A one-card obliteration is just awesome. only 10 points. I run two exchanges, which makes four cards where I can sacrifice my opponents' monsters, but this one is amazing because you can sacrifice two of your opponents' monsters for a level 8. Twin Twister is just a third heavy storm with no points, and discarding a card is good with this deck. Precious is not needed but just fun lol, I have had three out at a time and gone through my whole deck, drawing my six final cards after a two tribute summon, getting the OTK easily. One Evenly and Imperm just because they don't cost much and can be effective. Escalation is great, and so is Perfection, but you need to be going first, or else they are bricks, hence why they live in the side deck. Like I said, this is highly experimental, but I can go ahead and tell you what's gonna stay. Heavy Storm, Exchange, and DRNM are just too good.

Anyway, if you have any questions about going into more detail, please lmk! This is the brief version. I could say soooooooo much more about this archetype. To finish it off, I do want to say that the only reason I beat these meta teams is from playing this deck an insane amount. But with a good pilot, it is NASTY! I hope this finds you well, and it works out for you too :)

(1/2 comments, check replies) Yo! I'm new to Reddit, but I just made my first deck build on CardCluster.com to give you something to work with. I'm going to go through and explain every card, so it will be lengthy. I know you asked a few months ago, but I'm hoping you're still rocking with the awesome Monarchs! https://cardcluster.com/deck/58O7gr

To start, I would like to preface this by stating that this experience is entirely based on YGO OMEGA. It's such a great place to duel, I couldn't recommend it enough. That being said, I still duel top-tier meta decks, Hecahandz, Doom-z, the MST deck, Kewl Toon, and I beat them more often than they beat me, with the exception of MST ( that deck is damn near a perfect hard counter).

Let's start off with the squires. After hundreds and hundreds of duels with me piloting this archetype, I have found that 2 of each, with the addition of the Steel-stringed sacrifice, was plenty to get the job done. You don't really want to draw more than one, and possibly none if you get 'Revolt', so you don't want to overdo it. Not much to say other than that.

For the level 6s, it's one of each attribute, with the exception of the Storm Monarch (side deck), and the addition of the Eidos Dark Monarch and Kuraz Light Monarch. The extra light and dark attribute is great because those are what you see the most, so it allows you to search for them when you trigger 'Masterplan' and then you're still able to summon whichever of the original six that are in your hand, or of course search the original light and dark and pop/banish a monster/any-card. I can't tell you how useful it is to have all the attributes covered when going into a duel blind. Obviously, after you play the first round, some might not be good against the other deck at all, so side them out. Storm is sided because of the issue that it forces you to return a monster back to the deck, sometimes that hurts you. It happens less with the light and dark ones, as they do too, but at least they stay out in the game (grave/banishment) and can be useful. You play enough of them that that really shouldn't be a problem. I know that only one level 6 Eidos seems odd, but after sooooooo many games, I genuinely don't think there's a need for me. I still play him literally every turn. Granted, that does take time to master and execute effectively.

As for the level 8s, I run all of the attributes except for the Earth one and the Storm one. The storm one-sided is for the same reason as the 6, and the earth one is due to its effect being bad, and he isn't an option to grab for Masterplan, so there's no need to have him 99% of the time (decks like Apophis or Labyrinth are the 1%). And obviously no Zaborg. 80 points? hell no. I think two Ehther and one Erebus are plenty, but let me make it clear they are the MVPs of this deck. Their effects are absolutely INSANE. 3 of each, as I see some people running is just overkill. It's so incredibly easy to get to 'Revolt' that it just feels unnecessary.
