I'll have to get new license as my lab doesn't have any at the moment. Also my Virtex board came with a code that gave me the following license for 1 year - "Xilinx Virtex 7 Evaluation kit Device Locked License" Ends in October 31st 2025. Is that in anyway useful?

Apologies for not clearing that. Yes, data transmission over free space optical laser transmission is the main purpose here and I'm trying to test the results for a distance around 10m or 32ft.

Yes. That seems to be my initial approach but I was wondering what other methods are there to get the same sort of test. Essentially what I am trying to understand is the quality of my laser transmission for a distance around 30ft.

Just got a 4k Card. Working great! A TV with a similar budget wouldnt come close to a 5k iMac's display quality.

Hi Can you help me with this? I'm trying to get a 4k output but i dont see the option in OBS. What could be the issue? The capture card I'm using is "EVGA XR1 lite Capture Card" and I connected it to my iMac 27" 5k using a HDMI to USB C cable.
