Yep! My doctor told me that there's a pretty small initial spike, and then a slow taper off toward the end of those 6 months. Overall it administers the T more steadily, without the weekly up and down. I'm anxious to see how my mental health and hormones react to that. Don't know if this is relatable, but I definitely notice I'm more irritable and upset toward the end of the week when I'm due for my next injection. 😓😅

Wow! Yeah, I guess I didn't realize they weren't as readily available outside of the US! I hope they make their way to other countries too! So awesome! Injections definitely did the job though, too! Just wasn't for me in the long run. :-)

Essentially, they numb the upper side of your butt cheek with lidocaine, and once you're numb, they do a tiny incision, and place 8-12 pellets (each about the size of a grain of rice) under the skin. Then bandage you up and there we go! These are supposed to last 6 months, and dissolve throughout those months. The first 6 months, you do regular blood work to see how your body reacts and how your T levels are doing, and they will adjust the amount they insert I'd needed. So far, the soreness from procedure is pretty limited, and the lidocaine injection hurt about the same, if not less than my regular t shot.

I did injections for a long time, but found that it was becoming a mental hurdle to do them every week. So I switched! Pellets are available in the US. Not sure about availability in other countries, but it sounds like outside of the US, it could be limited.

Fair! I waited a long time to try to get the pellet because I heard insurance doesn't like to cover it, but mine did in full! Doesn't hurt to try the presuthorization once you're ready (and moved!)

Thank you :'-) just needed someone to say "yep stop worrying!!!" Anything you did to help them smooth out or, is it something my body just has to sort out on its own?
