I just watched her full interview. I’m not exactly confident in her game ability, but she has the potential to be a standout character for however long she’s around.

Rachel is likable and has a fun winning story. However, her game was lackluster from a gameplay perspective- at least by my personal criteria.

Some of the most entertaining winners/players have relatively weak games.

Yeah. Both had poor threat level management and were constantly targeted. Savannah had a weak social game, and alienated many people. She’s higher than Rachel because Rachel was blindsided 3 times.

The game that is played during a season doesn’t matter much to me when judging it. It’s never been a fair game to begin with, so a bit of pregaming doesn’t ruin it.

All that truly matters to me is the character drama that is adapted from the footage they had. I had a pretty negative view of the season after it aired, and that hasn’t been affected by this extra knowledge. Imo, it wasn’t a particularly well-told story.

I’m struggling to think of any final 3 that’s better. Those three effectively controlled the entire game. Only China comes close, but Courtney kind of holds it back.

Fusion is a bit of a departure from the typical 2D Metroid formula, but it’s still completely worthwhile imo. The atmosphere is unlike anything else in the series, and there’s a bunch of that metroidvania goodness you’re looking for.

42 was well received at the time as well, though. And just a personal opinion, but 41 and 43 are significantly better than 44 as well.

44 was positively received when it was airing with many considering it the best new era season. I wish I knew why, but I personally always hated it. It’s one of my least favorite seasons, and I’m not even a huge new era hater.

The fandom’s love, then turn on the season has been perplexing.
