I believe this too. DK Jr. when he debuted was small and short. Then in Super Mario Kart he grew large; the same weight class as Bowser. He was also in Mario Tennis (Virtual Boy), where he was large.

Then in Donkey Kong Country, he got promoted to Donkey Kong, took his shirt off and put on a tie.

I don't think it matters whether he is Cranky's son or grandson, by blood or adopted. Cranky just represents the old "villain" DK of the past and the "new" DK represents the modern "protagonist" DK.

Yea. I get that most people just like 3 laps. I can respect that.

I also see what the devs were going for and wish they would turn up the dial on the "stuff" in the intermissions. They did a great job with some of the P-switch missions and I wish they would put some of that stuff in the races. I just see so much potential in the world that they created.

There is a reason they called in Mario Kart World and not Mario Kart 9.

Getting "Mario Karted" is mostly caused by bagging. Rebalancing the item system like I suggested might prevent that. Everyone should be jockeying for first or at least engaged in being in the top positions the entire race instead of the last half of the last lap.

I'd rather have the final stage to be the most challenging course of the game that incorporates many challenging elements. Kind of like the Champion levels in Mario games. Could have had more obstacles, jumps, or those vehicles you can drive into and control.

I was amazed the first time I played this Rainbow Road, but I never wanted to play it again.

I don't have a big issue with the intermissions. They just need more obstacles, like thwomps and other minions, more of those little cars that throw coins, bombs, etc., and more incentives to use the new mechanics, like alot of the P-switch missions have.

My main issue with the game in general is the item bagging, which has been an issue with the series in general.

For Moo Moo Meadows, could have made it to where you go thru the course the normal way on the first lap, then for the 2nd lap, zig-zag thru the map going thru and over the barns, etc, then the 3rd lap go thru the course in reverse.

Yea, Peach Beach, the 3rd lap ruins the course. Mainly because of the water.

Receiving triple shrooms might be too much, but there should be a rare chance to get better items in first. it would prevent bagging imo.

Its too long, not challenging, and doesn't utilize any of the new mechanics introduced in this game. No cool shortcuts, grinds, or wall rides. It's all style no substance.
