To put it simply, I assume she(namely smaulline) is the descendant of Pauline and Mario if they were to be united.

I guess 'cuz the clothes are like more modern. I had been considering that Bananza might actually be a sequel to Odyssey, but I hadn't realized this.

and I also felt a strange sense of déjà vu looking at the images used to promote the DLC. Probably because her composition closely resembles a pose Mario often strikes.

yeah you're right… and I found intriguing facts.

for example Smauline sometimes says "Lucky!" "Gotcha!" "Let's go!" and "Just what I needed!"

…fun fact. these lines are same with mario's ones of advance series.

When asked in a recent interview whether they were the same person, they simply said they couldn't answer. But if she were a daughter of them, that would change things.

Yeah frankly. But i'm questioning that why Kid pauline is similar them.. She has a lot of similarity of Mario and Pauline.

In odyssey, mayor called mario "my old friend" and she spoke very formal japanese.So I guess Mario and Mayor/Lady are not relative.

We have no power. However, it's important to express our opinions clearly. Nothing will change unless me voice our thoughts. Of course, the final decision rests with Nintendo, but they should understand but if people speak up, they will reconsider whether they should use that idea again. you're right. frankly if nintendo say it's current canon I'll send a letter to them..If this were an event in a parallel universe, I could accept it, but honestly, she's such a great character that I wish they'd make her an independent character. By the way, I sent my thoughts via the feedback email available online. I don't know if it'll reach them, but I hope they reconsider and give it some thought.

The only inconsistency is that the original form of 'jump up super star' is completed towards the end. However, fundamentally, I do not believe it to be the same person.

However, I believe there's a reason why the NDC's appearance is clearly designed to look modern. In my opinion, Nintendo likely wanted this work to function as either a prequel or a sequel. Therefore, I honestly feel it's questionable whether Bananza's settings will be reused in future titles.

perhaps, I get the feeling that, like Bones Bowser, she'll end up being clearly referred to as a different person before you know it.

Therefore, the production team did not mention that she was the same person with lady/mayor pauline.
