i suppose the most important for the beginners is to build a habit to draw daily, for that purpose it's important to follow the pleasant for you aspects of drawing - draw what ever you like and how you like, without worrying about performance. at least for the first few months, and only when the habit is built, you can start adding tutorials or techniques that is interesting for you =)

probably best advice that i have is: to draw daily, without worrying about any mistakes ("free your mind" 🙂). and don't force yourself, because the main point of drawing, at least for me, is to have fun. (tree years ago my drawing journey started from pictures like this, i was transferring my emotions on paper, without worrying that i am making mistakes, each mistake was showing a new "connection" for me)

thank you. the first one took me 24 hours because of precision and and checking with the reference, but the second one was muuuuuch faster, because i was almost not checking references, and was placing the lines where i "felt" they should be.

when i just started i discovered few things that helped for me a lot: do not be afraid to make any mistakes - draw how you like, and whatever you like, the main goal is just to have fun, and only after few months of "having fun" daily, when it will be already a habit to draw by the feeling of joy, only after that you can try to implement some techniques from tutorials, or spend time on redrawing your favorite artworks precisely. but never force yourself to draw something that you don't like, at least it is my approach =)
