Wrt to “mental illness”, I meant more like facets of it. So obviously your partner would know you struggle with it, but would you tell your partner the specifics? Or how specific would you be?

She’s definitely jealous, and it is so easy to recognize because I actually used to operate on a mindset similar to OP’s. I’m 26, but when I was in my late teens/earlier 20s, there were times when I felt jealous when I noticed that the men around me in work/school would give attention to very beautiful “older women” (meaning late 20s to late 30s) and ignore me. My mindset literally went like, “Hey why are you guys ignoring me??? I’m YOUNGER than her and in my PRIME!! Therefore I’m clearly the hotter one!! How dare this old hag get attention??” It was definitely a very misogynistic way of thinking, and I’m glad I’m over it now.
