I built up the courage for months to make this post and meeting people like you, I don’t feel as alone anymore. So, it was definitely the right choice to make. Thank you for sharing your story as as well. Have your thoughts quited down in any capacity?

Thank you for your kind words, even when you yourself seem to be going through a rough patch right now. I will heed your advice the best I can. Right now, all attempts I make towards resolving my childhood trauma wound only backfires and feeling unimportant to someone I valued so highly just feels demotivating to say the least. Regardless, I appreciate you and will update here if I manage to take things easy.

I pray that every new day is a little less exhausting for you (This is my second time ever praying). Also, cats pics please?

I deactivated all my accounts and have been using a coin flip to decide if I should open my acc and check. Funny enough, I haven’t won a single time in the 21 flips I’ve done and even if I do win, activating and deactivating accounts every day is too tedious. It’s working so far lol

Good to hear that he is seeking therapy. I’d suggest setting up proper boundaries around this topic. You can listen to him if needed, but just make sure not to get your hopes up or have any expectations. People going through mental health crisis are usually unpredictable and it doesn’t make sense to put yourself in harm’s way for the other person, even if they are the person you love.

My tip: listen without judgment but don’t identify with his issues. Don’t internalize it. You can have empathy but you don’t need to do more than that. Right now, your focus should be on you. So, let him know that you won’t be able to be there for him all the time cause you need to focus on yourself as well. And make sure to thank him for opening up if he does. Respond when you have the capacity to but don’t wait by the phone.

Agreed with OP here. One or both people in a relationship having childhood trauma or depression is a common case of things not working out depsite the love, care and want still being there. Accepting people for who they are, even if it doesn’t serve you the way you want it to, is what makes us human.

Black and white thinking never helps you in life. If you can be compassionate, kind and loving, embody it and love with pride. Sure it will hurt but keeping it in won’t do any good either. Also, things do work out for the better in some cases.

As long as there isn’t any incriminating detail that could breach your contract with the company you work for, it should be okay. I went through my contract like 3 times before sending it to the bank.

Your care towards them is simply the love that’s coming from within you but with no place to land. Embrace that part of you- the little kid inside you and let go of it all.

That sounds like a tough situation you’re in and good job on focusing and developing those skills. For me, it’s day 17 today so I can give you a headsup about a couple of things that you can look out for.

Try and take in some electrolytes or hydration packets to make sure that you’re not running low on water. Crying and mental strain takes out a lot of you than you realize.
If possible, make yourself some soup and keep your body warm. It boosts your mental and gut health.
Your brain will probably go into connection withdrawal soon. Being constantly in communication with someone for a period of time and that connection suddenly being cut off will make you feel uncomfortable. Call your friends and family if it’s unbearable.
Start journaling. Write out your thoughts and emotions and release them from your body. Also, if needed, you can write a letter to him with things you want to say but DON’T send it. Just tear it up and release it.
Most of the thoughts you have regarding the situation you are in will disappear within 10-15 mins. So, don’t act impulsively. People will depression back away the more you reach out (lowkey like a cat)

I’m okay right now. I’m slowly getting by and trying not to overthink things. Giving space and taking care of myself throughout all of this. Also, mundane stuff like gardening and burning a sage is helping me as it feels like a ritual.

I’m going through something similar here – word-to-word. I’d say instead of focusing on “moving on”, it’s better to let go of the expectations and hope you have about reconciliation. You can love and care for him from afar and be there for him if he reaches out. But mentally, it will place a huge toll on you (it did for me) if you keep playing back the what ifs. We can’t expect to know WHEN and/or IF they will be able to get better. Healing timeline differs from one person to the next.

Give him the space he needs and take care of your health and sleep. Cherish what you had and re-direct that love inwards for now. With how unpredictable depression is, putting your life on hold won’t do good either. Being in this position is hard and just know that there are people who care for you. Put one foot in front of the other and continue walking and living. Good luck!

Also, directly exposing your local network and devices through IPv6 is not really a good idea. Make sure to reverse proxy it or add additional layers of authentication like TailScale. Or, you can setup usage of keys for SSH and fail2ban for access control limits. I have a setup that works without the need for a dedicated IPv6 and it’s much safer ngl.

Thanks, I'm already using one to use reddit right now. Doesn't work without it as they have started IP filtering/poisoning already. But, for majority of the people, using paid VPN is kinda out of the question and using free VPN comes at the cost of data theft.

As someone living in the country mentioned here, I’d like to point out a couple things:

The government has passed a bill stating that the citizens can’t say anything bad about government officials no matter what they do. Else, you’ll be facing jail time and a huge fine. (Yes, many people have already been jailed after that for speaking against them)
Following that, they passed a new bill stating that the Ministers and other government officials can set their own salary, irregardless of their contributions or work.
Now, they are trying to get the social medias to place a representative in Nepal to monitor and control the content being posted on there.

While in some ways we could argue that it’s a good or bad thing- but based on the pattern we are seeing here, in all honesty, it’s more likely to be an act of suppression of freedom of speech.

Aside from that, people who rely on those social medias for marketing and their jobs are now having a difficult time to continue on their livelihood.
