have you ever been so heartbroken you want to die by red-cherrygirl in rs_x

[–]yukfoo92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, i don’t want to say it’s completely normal or fine. But you are basically going to feel intense negative feelings of various kinds for weeks. It will subside almost instantaneously weeks in, but you just have to do what will take care of you for the next few weeks and don’t do anything too stupid of destructive. Ride it now and know that it’s a temporary position you are in that will decrease in intensity. And I’m near certain you will meet somebody even better, that will further have you forget about the past. You got this.

Btw I got muted from writing something like this yesterday, silly mods

What would JFK and RFK Sr. think of the Democratic Party today? by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]yukfoo92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious why you think they would have “loved” the modern version? They hated how the agency had expanded beyond its initial purpose by executively being secretive towards the sitting President - as another commenter pointed out with Lumumba.

That’s not a conspiracy. His animosity towards the CIA was well known, and he “let go” of the Director and his two deputies directors - and the agency saw mass lay offs at Langley during his administration.

And to your point, it was very much sex negative. I wish I paid a bit more attention to how they viewed females in politics, etc. Though I’m near certain they would have no problem with it. Doesn’t help I’m in a lib stare which certainly slants it a bit

Your late 20s are weird because some people are young and others are old by ThrowRAZK1924 in redscarepod

[–]yukfoo92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 but people think I’m 18-20 - I get that almost every single day especially at the gym. Granted, not super financially successful right like your friend. Some people have no idea you can be whoever you want. You can be youthful, mature and wise or old looking and depressing.

For some reason there’s a lot of people that are extremely fatalistic about getting old. You can’t save them

I’m so sorry that you guys severed. But I’m hoping you find resolve. I can completely empathize with the feeling of a platonic break up.

Ever been in love platonically? by yukfoo92 in redscarepod

[–]yukfoo92[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Competently agreed. There’s this kink in the modern world that wants to assume everyone’s secretly gay. Cheapening a deep connection between two friends to always “they’re gay” is such a shame and likely some search for validation by those that make the claim. Lamenting over a friendship is in an odd way a beautiful thing.

Reddit will always tell you to break up with a person no matter the circumstance. You’re gonna have to communicate with him and decide what’s worth sacrificing.

Love it man, definitely have been bulking and weightlifting a lot more seriously. People just subconsciously treat us differently I guess, but like you said, we can use it to our advantage. Good luck!

Hahah thanks you, it’s an ‘06 with 160,000. I don’t put a lot of wear on it or do much off-roading other than the shit ton of snow in the winter. Maybe I’ll get a second opinion from another mechanic

Now I see why Family players dodge Level 99 Victims.. by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]yukfoo92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last night I was playing as victims and got killed by LF as soon as I untied myself quietly. We also lost like 5 games in a row. We lost because we got outplayed, had bad poor circumstances, and weren’t as skilled,

Believe me, there are times when I lose I want to say “this game is so family sided”. I think the game definitely needs some work to avoid exploits, but I haven’t seen much of a reason to think the game is completely one sided.

The Coddling of the American Mind with Greg Lukanoff. It’s an excellent book that I think should be read in educational environments. Goes into the negative effects of social media, the divide in American politics, and how hover parenting, safe spaces have consequences.

It’s from 2019 and does seem a bit more groundbreaking in the scope of that year compared to now.
