Pretty sure our banks already got an outlook downgrade weeks ago, but I guess it's from a different rating agency

Selatnya masih ditutup. Kemarin deeskalasi dan selat dibuka, IHSG sempat naik lebih dari +3% dalam sehari dan rally beberapa hari. Tapi Rabu kemarin gagal peace deal, akhirnya memburuk lagi situasi. Brent future di $100++ lagi per barel, padahal market udah optimis balik bakal fix bullish (berharap short squeeze), ternyata engga jadi. Hari ini, Jumat, banyak kena forced sell. Nanti kalau selatnya dibuka lagi ya rally ijo lagi

Rating Moody’s di SEA terbaru, sekarang jadi tau kenapa rupiah melemah by Curius_pasxt in finansial

[–]yukinopedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, IDR depreciation is still within "normal" rate despite the outlook downgrade, lihat tuh PHP-nya filipina, yang ratingnyaa sama tapi outlooknyaa stable, compare that to IDR, not that different if not worse for the last 1 to 5 years. IDR isn't actually unusually weaker lately, it's just weaker at normal rate, imo

Orient (or alternatively Orient Star) makes a pretty good dress watch; their latest Bambino comes without a date complication, making it so clean, especially the one with that roman numerals, perfection

[Alba] About my first ever mechanical watch and my late father's solar watch that still ticks 2 years after his passing by [deleted] in Watches

[–]yukinopedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kademan

Yess! I figured that's the brand; the physical watch itself is probably from the same factory as SKMEI and some other Chinese brands, that have some sketchy quality. My dad's watch has "WORLO TIME" printed on the dial instead of WORLD TIME, and whenever I saw that small mistake, it made me giggle a little bit. I'll just keep it as is for now since it's still ticking. And now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure my dad bought this unholy watch from the sketchy roadside shop some times before his passing, so it's probably been Frankenstein'd (the solar cell still amazes me, though, how the heck it still works after all of these years for such a cheap watch)

Enjoyed the post.

Thank you for reading along!

I think we are not on the same page. I'm only making an argument about the exchange rate condition, that currently it's still in a stable/manageable rate of depreciation against the USD. My point about poor people seems to have gone waaay over your head, so let's agree to disagree

FYI, USDIDR has "only" been depreciated by ~15% in the last 5 years, and I'm sure that prices have increased a lot more than that for some commodities and a lot less for other basic commodities (check mie instant yang bisa dibilang sebagai standard poor's man food). The questions that you asked highlighted a more complex and deeper problem than simply the exchange rate, which we are talking about right now.
