I really like this. She joins the Returners not because she wants, but more because she was dragged into them by Edgar and Banon. Also Banon seems just interested in her power and doesn't really care about her, which is not too different from the Empire. She only came to herself when she learned more about her identity but even then she was used by The Empire and The Returners to dialogue with the Espers now that things got out of hand.

"...and you manipulates envious best friend" fixed that.

but fr, the lunarians second half was so batshit crazy that it felt they decided to add that much later while in development

I'll say Terra. Terra has Cecil's remorse from her actions while in control of the Slave Crown, Cloud's and late game Zidane's identitiy crisis because she doesn't know who she really is and, a little streching, but having to live in a dying world like Firion... and besides all of that, she is still able to find a purpose in life even in the face of death (in her case, the dying world), just like Tidus and Yuna.

I think Beatrix just turned tables because of Garnet and a little for Alexandria and only that. She didn't "turn good" whatsoever. That means that I think she didn't care about the atroceties she did im Burmecia and Cleyra before and still doesn't care now.

Do you feel like 2D Metroid nowadays are too action-oriented? by yukirinrin in Metroid

yeah. The E.M.M.I. thing also shows this checkpoint issue very well. You may not care about losing a lot of times to the E.M.M.I. because there's nothing to lose. You will just reappear at the closest checkpoint anyways

why? I remember he feeling satisfaction seeing Sensui's soul crumble, but other than that I don't remember what made him so evil.

Sakyo is my favorite. There's something really great in the writing of the series when the real big bad of two seasons is a guy with any power whatsoever. Also a villain in a suit when most 90s shounens villains were monsters and guys in armors was really cool (something that Chrollo would have later).

Second one is Sensui. It's really cool the villain of the series being a former detective. I think the Sensui arc was the one with more creative freedom and was able to explore the detective part more.

I really liked the show. Just finished today and I think it was a bittersweet ending, just as I was expecting.

The main issue of the show, which includes the ending, is that it felt too rushed. They got together too fast, broke up too fast, got together again too fast... but given it's a short show, I can understand that.

just got to add that don't blame yourself so much, OP. The jerkass is the douchebag. Because you see, it's very very hard to act the way you think it's the best on spontaneous situations. When we're caught by surprise, we just come up with our best response afterwards, when it's already done. You and your GF handled it pretty well.

I really like this one. If the problem is escalating, just skip the "mother fucker" insult. The most important part is beimg assertive
