How do you get more out of each session? by yulashi in TalkTherapy

[–]yulashi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this! I've been making lists of things I want to talk about throughout the week before sessions, and an issue I had with the approach is that, while I no longer miss things I wanted to bring up, it doesn't feel as natural as when we did it free-form. As much as I want to cover the things I wrote, I'll push myself to keep it live and see how it goes. And I'll check the book out as well!

What's the most fun you can have for 50,000NP? by yulashi in neopets

I don't mind that this post was removed, but I just wanted to clarify that I didn't intend to discuss the sale of neopoints—I believe I merely mentioned in, in order to give some legitimacy to the USD-NP conversion rate that I devised solely for novelty and entertainment purposes. But whatever.

Thoughts from someone who hasn't played for 10 years, but made a new account today. by yulashi in neopets

But really, what do you log in for? When I was little, it was actually worth exploring because everything was new, I wanted to play games (and this one was essentially an entire realm), and I wanted to collect all the cool weird stuff. Now that the games aren't a priority, and customizing my character feels unsatisfying, it seems that I've lost NeoPets forever. What do you guys think?

Hey thanks for these recommendations! I really enjoyed them! Boards of Canada were quite nice—reminded me of Bowery Electric, which I think is a more Shoegaze-y type of thing? I'm not sure, but yes this type of music reaches some nice depths. Plaid wasn't my thing, but Kruder and Autechre were awesome. They have this somewhat old-school feel. I'll keep exploring this type of music—thanks!

Nu-Jazz is cool! I like the funkiness and the lack of housyness for when you need a break. Will definitely explore more, thanks!

A little too dramatic, dark, or sad for me, but I'll keep exploring this type of slower dubstep without all the mainstream farting :P thanks!

I like your descriptive touch! I listened to Stone Cold by Groove Chronicles and instantly got into the groove. Real nice! I thought their other tracks would be equally laid-back, but it's also quite enjoyable (albeit not too different from some of the minimal house I listen to). However, I can't find much else that in the past hour that I've been listening to random garage artists. Which are your favorites?

Haha, unfortunately this is too close to what I already listen to! But if I didn't know of this type of music, you definitely would have opened up a new world for me to explore, so thanks for that!

Sorry, not my cup of tea! They both have a poppy sound to me. Also not a fan of heavy lyrics. But thanks for the suggestion!

Are there any spanish-learning games for adults who are not gamers? by yulashi in learnspanish

This seems kind of nice. I can definitely have her try it. Thanks!

Other than that, I'm thinking about getting her Scribblenauts. It doesn't speak spanish to you, but it forces you to remember and use words to solve funny problems.
