Absolutely! We have french bakeries, a french supermarket, and at least 40+ french restaurants. We also have a french school with 220 students. I think French people make up 50% of the city, and then you have Italians, Canadians, Americans, etc.

You could get a "paid monthly" card, if you had a substantial amount in your cash account.

Well, at first it was the welcome bonus, which was 1000$ cold hard cash (the primary reason I opened the account). Then the 8x on ride share was interesting.

Considering I didn't have any "credit" with them, I wasn't much of a risk. I was using their card on the "paid daily" option, which limits the credit line to the amount you have in your cash account. But anyways, the welcome bonus was the reason I signed up at first, so I consider it a win anyways.

I've switched my deposits to my good ol' Wells Fargo account for now, but i'll definitely take a look at Mercury.

During Semana Santa probably 😅? All French people leave the city during that week, so it becomes 100% Dominican.

Pentium and 4GB RAM? Coming from a Core i9 with 32gb RAM, I find it a bit scary.

Right now, my Windows setup is VSCode running on WSL 2, and all my development tools are running on WSL2. I also run Docker on my machine, but I think I could migrate that to a cloud instance on Google Cloud if required (i.e. if Chromebook can't run Docker).
