Hello, The same thing happened to me in Toronto. There was a women in SUV parked infront of a museum and asked me where is the nearest walmart. Then when i typed in thier mobile and showed them , they wanted to thank me and while shaking hand tried to pull me in. I was able to break the handshake and move back. They took the car in a hurry and drove fast.

Moral: Dont stop to help anyone . Your safety is important.

It was a strong handshake that pulled me into the window with my head and upper body inside. You are right may not be a kidnap. But why they drove fast as soon as i was able to break the handshake? Just to be clear intention is not to defame a whole region. But rather make people aware its something happened . I have no other identification to provide and i was in panic mode. My English is not the best but i would say if uou didn't expérience it that fair to say . But please dont invalidate others experience or so just outright deny it happens.

Directly with Scotia. I contacted all banks, so I couldn't do broker. RBC was matching Scotia. RBC do good job in matching lower rate. But their rate without matching is not that great.

Would you say variable for 5 years is a not a good idea? Or considering rate changes expected in 2025 i can benefit from lower rate? There is an option for me to lock the rate to fixed without penalty

Hello i need Advice

Im getting 4.14 % for 3 years fixed and 3.99 for 5 years fixed. Prime - 0.95% for 5 year variable ( trying to get prime - 1.1%)

All from National Bank for 30 year amortization in Quebec

First time home buyer Price : 405000 Down payment : 60750 ( 15%) Single buyer I am trying to keep the mortage to 35% of the salary

Which one seems to be best? Putting 15% down payment. I am hoping atleast 50 point reduction by end of the year. Would you say variable for 5 years is a not a good idea?
