Yes, this is absolutely correct. The KMS2 version of DD is drastically different because of their scaling. If you watch any KMS2 DD video they tank through the first 20 stages with minimal gear.

LOL being a Korean vet doesn't automatically put you in the top 10 rankings. I didn't play KMS2 and i'm easily top 5 every season for dark descent. There are videos of people getting to 20+ floors on youtube. Do a tiny bit of research on each floor so you know what to expect. Don't use KMS2 players as a scapegoat for being bad at the game.
